So, I barely did it with Yamashita, Pavlov, Arnold, Horton, and Helfrich; practically none of them were upgraded, so it should be very easy for you if you use this strategy: 1. Put your best Infantry general on the Commando, move it down to the Southernmost point of the chain islands of Philippines; meanwhile, in the city, create a RPG rocketeer and assign your 2nd best general on there 2. Put your 2nd best naval general on the Destroyer, the best one on the Cruiser, and the best air general on the carrier 3. Your gamble is to crush MacArthur as soon as possible, and DO NOT DEFEND FOR THE CARRIER NOR THE SUPER BATTLESHIP; if you feel unsecure, create a naval unit and protect Yamamoto; use the Destroyer to flank MacArthur, demoralizing them, and attack with your commando, destroyer, and EVEN THE CARRIER. 4. Turn 2; MacArthur would highly likely still be in the city, and continue on the same attack, but also add in the RPG rocketeer in and attack 5. Turn 3; MacArthur would highly likely be in the water now, trying to escape; THIS STAGE IS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT. Enable the perk for the RPG rocketeer (enabling 2-tile attack), and move your commando onto the farm with the anti air. Attack with both, and use all of your naval forces and carriers to attack MacArthur. Use most of your budget (except the budget of 2 C-4 Skytrains for next round) to attack MacArthur, since they are in the water and vulnerable to air assaults and without anti air. 6. Turn 4; MacArthur would highly likely already be near Papua island; first, paratroop your RPG rocketeer onto the Australian farm with anti air with your C-4 Skytrain and occupy it. Next, use your Commando and do the same thing, but next to MacArthur, in attack range and attack. use your navies to continue attack on MacArthur, and continue to bomb and attack MacArthur if you have the budget. 7. Turn 5: MacArthur would highly likely be on land by now, and highly likely lower than 200 health. Use your remaining budgets, navies, carriers, and land forces to attack (flank and demoralize, if possible) to deal the most damage as possible. Second, produce Hawkeye at Manila, and appoint the strongest infantry general as you have. and beat MacArthur. don't forget to put this unit on forest hex.
