While it would probably not have won all games, having Full Armor Master on board is one of the best possible fail-saves this format. It being unaffected can often enough stun a Tear player for a turn, which at least gives you a fighting chance. Although the field spell is a pretty easy way to just run FAM over.
they do just have a 3000 beater that revives itself that can get rid of full armor master
The new black whirlwind protects the full armor master once from battle but yea, with that many board breakers a full armor master might have been the play instead of trying to set up negates
@@TofuofLight Yeah, I like the line that end on Full Armor Master with the new trap in hand more. At least they can't get rid of FAM and the trap with boardbreakers like Super Poly or Droplet, and the trap summoning the pop 2 Blackwing is the insurance to protect FAM from getting ran over by battle

@@sekaihunter9378 That is one of the lines I prefer myself, ideally with a hot Red or even Red Supernova Dragon, but even just FAM and a pop 2 can be good enough to live for the turn.

Last game i think a full armor master might have been the play instead after seeing that many board breakers in the previous games
specially when u saw super poly twice, they cant take full armor master out with that card

little thing to counter act the DRNM, forbidden droplet problem. People are running the PK rank up magic to banish blackwings/other dark birbs to make ultimate falcon. This with RED Abyss can by pass the lock DRNM has because the RUM was the last card to have been activated in the chain.

@@Raminator243 the main deck is unplayable by comparison to what will be played, the extra deck is a complete mess, and is worse in every way to what blackwing is playing before the set comes out
@Alex Bergie hes playing Crack of dawn over bora which has the additional ss restriction, no force Strix (blackwing has a brick ingredient problem period, the set did not resolve that). He's not playing Auster witch is probably the most egregious problem.
Hmmm, I saw a different build of the deck that cuts the links/redoer in favor of a full synchro strategy. It felt a lot more consistent and more resilient to boardbreakers because it could consistently end on Hot Red + the blackwing trap, in addition to other interaction points. While both builds offer similar payoff in a vacuum, I think the link build is much worse against tear and tear counters, which is all that matters in this meta. But I might be off-base.
@S V neither is playing 2 boreas 2 bw dragon 2 assault 😔 at the very least could have put in accesscode or borrelsword theres no link pay off to playing steam in this list
@@ASAINATL 2 Assault Dragon is frequently relevant, because although it was not shown this episode, you often hard summon one and summon the other via its Special Condition
the extra editing in the explanation kinda gives this a history of yugioh feel which makes the cimo intro even better

Ahhhh Blackwings. Been playing them forever. And after a 10 year hiatus, Im back.
There is a whole line in the decklist that was not explored in this short video. The blavkwing trap does two things here.
The first is it let's you make Silverwind on the opponents turn and destroy two cards. Given his opponents it makes sense he didn't do this.
However, it does a second thing. If he swerved the black winged dragon and a level 1 boreas into a hot red, be could ha e chained twin shadow and then chained hot red to out the dark ruler. It would have been an overall weaker board, but significantly safer.
18:02 You can, if you use: Blackwing - Gust the Backblast . That is dark, BW, Winged-beast, and it is easy to special summon in your first turn (just example). Also, even you cannot normal summon, you can still special summon Gust, and have BW in field.
2:18 Dragunity has been abusing Zephyros since release as well.

Will say that Simoon + any black wing is Rusty, Fog Blade x 2, Savage, Hot Red, Dragoon and assault dragon. If anyone is interested haha
How sway
There is a lot to take issue with in this list, and id go as far as to say this isn't nearly as good as what was available befor the set comes out. The lack of Raidraptor - Force Stix inclusion is concerning as it enables rusty bardiche and helps prevent bricking. Kris the Crack of Dawn's once per turn restriction on its special summon can cause dead hands we're bora the spear wouldn't (even if it's was just one of each for this build). Auster the south wind is a primary normal summon that should be at 1 in most any list, to enable Full Armor Master as a board breaker or towers, if not 2 to recur the card off of simoon's effect and play throug cards like dimensional shifter. Shamal only helps if you drew a critical mass of blackwings and should rather be a 2 of surch target. Using Silverwind the ascendant as a replacement to Raikiri the rain shower is very questionable. Twin shadow could be blackbird close or black shadow squall. Chinook the snow blast is good as a forbidden chalice, but could be any relevant hand trap.
Black shadow squal could have had potential or at least I haven’t been able to integrate it into my deck. Nobody likes it I wish it would’ve been more useful
I feel like the blackwing end board should be a lot stronger.
It seems like the main culprit is trying to jam the pk bricks from raidraptor into here, since that’s historically what the deck has had to do. The payoff nowadays on it is so low, and even clashes with some of your new cards. The strength of Rusty in raidraptor is due to the rank ups and the crossover with cards like raiders’ wing, but you just have no reason to use it in blackwing because you don’t use them. You’re just playing worse raidraptor or worse pk if you do. Nobody gives a shit about 1 fog blade in 2022 if you get hit with a board breaker.
The normal end board is usually Hot Red, Savage Dragon, FAM, Assault Dragon, Wise Strix + I:P into Apo on opponent's turn, and Twin Shadow to pop 2 with Silverwind. This video wasn't the best showcase of the deck

short answer, yes jaja he could even make the play that end with asault dragon, full armor master, dracoberserker/hot red dragon archfiend, + the trap card, that way he could have protected from DRNM more than once in the video

I feel like mixing in blackwong spells and traps solves a lot of the deck’s worries (especially the “3 blackwings activate from hand)

Ive been messing a lot with this and wound up on a more Raidraptor focused ED with Blackwings being the engine. Synchros can be cut down to five or even 3 (borrel, bw dragon, and full armor). The ability to GET to raidraptors full combo is what raids really struggled with, Blackwings new support turns the new lvl4 searcher into the archetypes Kepler! Just dont use his second effect until maybe the end, essentially playing it like you would Sprights that are mixed in with non lv2 engines.

Raid raptors are a great splash for this deck, gives you access to like two extra interruptions in the backrow with the counter trap and the rank up, then you play the tribrigade link 4

Mill 5 is an insane effect, and there aren't really other decks that can effectively utilize it. I feel someone can cook something up with it.
It's not a good enough card to bother with.

I would bet good money that people are still going to run Kalut at one or two copies just for the memes if they can find a way to fit it in.
Maybe I'm missing something, and it obviously didn't matter when the opponent had Called By in hand, but at 14:38 why didn't you even *try* to Veiler the Dharc? You could have actually avoided lethal if they accidentally dropped the Called in the Imperm column.
Because Mudragon has text, he changed himself to Dark, so Darks couldn't be targeted

I use Zonda to grab Sirocco for easy otks 🤣can also use the black feather whirlwind eff to bring it back and pump again which is even easier once you get to zephyros
and here i was thinking mbt would be based and play the supernova version of this deck
So many important cards missing from the main, extra, and side. And some of the important ones that were in the deck didn’t get used correctly or AT ALL.
Full armor master in defense mode would have won most of these games…if you know your whole board is about to get hit with super poly/droplet/dark ruler/Nibiru you don’t have to over extend.
You also could have chosen to go second with this deck.

also rusty/wise strix with no rank up pay off is cringe, you can make dark requiem with 3 monster negates, basically the decks bootleg appolousa
Kunai and zonda or vata and sohaya are staples in the deck now. I don't know what you are are saying. It's not the issue with the list.

Not the best piloting when you just keep trying to set up a board of interruptions against a bunch of board breakers back to back. Full Armor Master would have probably won MBT the last couple of games showcased. It's a great stun against dark ruler and droplet when combined with the pop 2 and battle stall from the trap that can bring out Silverwind.
As a blackwing user, the deck build leaves a lot lacking, 3 DRNM and 3 Ash. Blackwings aren’t Meta but they can be wayyyyy better than what this deck build offers
