I came across this video earlier this year and I absolutely loveeeee how these turn out! I’ve made them so many times that I remember the recipe by heart! ♡ so easy, simple and delicious!
Yum! I'm making these in morning, they look so good! Could work with a orange sugar or mince meat filling too. Or a savory one with shredded ham, cheese and mixed with mustard & softened onions, with an egg wash glaze. You've inspired me. Great tip with the floss too!
You're making it harder than need be. Just mix all the filling in a bowl. Then you assure more even coating of the filling Chill well before cutting and it cuts much easier. Chill again before baking Perfect.
I've seen many shortcut cinnamon roll videos but they require crescent roll dough which I'd not sold in my country. I have been looking for this recipe for so long! Thanks a lot!
Because while you handle it the dough will warm up and so will the butter layers. You want it cold when it goes in the oven so that it stays flaky, if the butter has gotten warm it will melt and run out of your dough before it has a chance to create those flaky layers.
It's been a while for me, but I think I used the Pillsbury frozen sheets. These rolls don't puff up a lot, though. They are a little dense rather than super flakey. Hope that helps! :D
I can answer this. Cold butter flakes warm butter does not. Puff Pastry is made by folding butter into the dough. It's folded several times to create layers of butter throughout the dough. After working with the puff pastry to make the cinnamon rolls the dough would have warmed to much to be flaky. So putting it in the fridge re hardens the butter and gets it cold. When the rolls cook the water in the cold butter evaporates and flakes out the dough. Pie dough is the same way. I hope that helps. :)
Nope, I just didn't feel the need to mix them beforehand since there's so few ingredients. Thanks for the tip! And yes, kind of professional I guess--it's a Nikon D3100.
I make real cinnamon rolls from scratch,,,,,and by the looks of your easy way,,,,i could have a batch baked up in no time,,,while your playin with your floss to cut up your rolls

great vid. merry Christmas from the UK.
What a wonderful video :) thank you!!
I have to heat oven until 400 degrees and bake them in that temperature?
do you need to put them in the fridge
Powdered sugar is icing sugar or normal granulated sugar grinded?
powdered sugar = icing sugar
I kind of chill my roll for about 20 min before cutting if I use a Serrated knife but I haven’t tried the floss yet.
Oooh I haven't tried the chilling idea before. Sounds like a good one, too!
Why do u have to put rolls in fridge before baking tx

whats the best puff pastry to cause the ones I try just do not work

No particular reason--sometimes I find dark brown sugar to be a little too molasses-y.
❤❤❤❤ good
Still relevant today.
Thanks for the recipe in Spanish!

Great !!!!!
Why did you put it in the fridge for 30 minutes? Was it to let it rise? Could you alternatively leave it on the counter at room temperature?

why like puff pastry after baking they din't get flatten or open?
+sehrish Habib she pierced them with the fork so they dont puff up as much
Wouldn't it be easier to mix the sugars and cinnamon together first? 3 steps?
You're right! 😄I can't believe I didn't think of that.
And for icing sweetened condensed milk cab be drizzled over the rolls.
Why didn’t you just use salted butter that’s just silly

... feed the left over plastic wrap directly to a whale.
BEC MORAN good point. One could probably use parchment paper instead orlightly flour the rolling pin.
The floss is so unnecessary
Uhm many proffessional bakers use floss to cut them becuase it's more cleaner and doesnt squish it all ..
Nice recipe but I'm not sure how the tip was handed down from your great grand mother ??? Floss hasn't been around long enough!!
I believe she came up with the trick later on in her life, rather than something she learned as a child. :)
Yes it has !
And I wasted my sugar all of it people don’t watch this
