Piloteleverne - Top Gun på Dansk Grund (1:8)

På Forsvarets Flyveskole i Karup går en drøm i opfyldelse for 23 unge. De er nemlig blevet udvalgt blandt mere end 1.000 ansøgere, som hvert år så brændende ønsker sig en plads på skolebænken i Karup. Nu skal de forsøge at klare sig igennem en af Danmarks allerdyreste uddannelser.
I denne serie får vi et unikt indblik i de prøvelser, som eleverne skal igennem, før de kan kalde sig pilot.

M. Nielsen I’m not sure. I was watching a documentary on the British Red Arrows & this was in the suggested videos. Great find though. Englishman subtitles would of been great. Love their trainer aircraft

M. Nielsen yup, always been interested in aviation, I was a JTAC in the army so as part of my job had to talk n know a lot about all different countries aircraft. I just wish I could of had my time again n went for it in school n go for pilot training. I have my pilots license but did it the long way. I know “I assume you are from Denmark 🇩🇰 “ that you have excellent pilots. Just interested in how you guys train. We do things a bit different in the UK 🇬🇧.

@@marcs990 Yeah, I am from Denmark. Now I live in Spain. In Denmark it is not really a question whether you want to be a pilot or not. If you want, there are lots of obstacles and stop-barriers on your way. It is the most expensive education you can get in Denmark. 20 mio dkk/student according to the Head of the school in this program. That is almost 3 mio euro/student.
I remember a guy in highschool, son of the principal, he wanted to be a military pilot like these guys. Lo and behold - he did it! I spoke to him 7 years later. I am a biker. He said flying an F-16 was way more fun than racing a motorbike. Dream job I guess.

I got to fly the T-17 aerobatic trainer at RAFO Masirah on my last work day in Nov.2014. It is a fun aircraft with good balance and light controls. We did a few loops and an off base landing on gravel before returning to the obligatory fire hose wash down and large mess bill.
