I don't know to which rendition the comment above was referring but I can say that there is not one here I could recommend, primarily because of the audio. I have the Stern, Laredo, Ma, Ax recording which I heartily recommend. I would rather have had Bell on violin, though.
this is really an example how not to play Fauré and the most of the chambermusic repertoire. Listen to the Marguerite Long-Thibaud-Vieux-Fournier recording and this will be even more obvious. It sounds as a Tour de France sprint with Cavendish.
I think the pianist performance is far far behind that of the string players'. Speed is not the way to express passion, and tempi of the first two movements is way way too fast. Great Joshua Bell

I have that same recording though I'd rather have Itzhak Perlman on violin with Yo-Yo and the others. 😉
