I like these Buicks. I don't own a Lesabre but I have driven one before and man, its a pretty damn good car. Comfortable, smooth to drive, and the 3800 provides decent amount of speed.

I ordered mine on line. You will have to wire the stereo to the connection then it will plug into the ribbon cable. Just search for ribbon connector for (whatever your vehicle is) and it should tell you whether it will be compatible with your car. Check rockauto.com first. If you. Can't find it there, let me know and I'll send a few links to you. But if I remember right that's where I got mine.
in the fuse block under the rear seat there is a relay called R.A.P that will let you have 12v when the key is on and on acc and like the stock radio that relay stays on until you open the door i have a Bonneville witch is based on the same thing

+Timothy Richardson not sure about that because i'm using the factory amp. i did get the wiring harness to plug the unit right into the factory plug. you do however have to buy a kit to make the steering wheel buttons work with the unit, which i did but i have not installed yet. as far as bypassing the amp, i'm not real sure what all that would involve. but in this application the factory amp sounds just fine. if you have any more questions please feel free to contact me.

Wired up the deck and plugged it in but no power.i twisted the yellow and red wires together and it works but will not turn off with the key and now my security light stays on and will not turn off after locking the doors with the remote.ware would I get 12v ware the power will turn off with key.also my dash bezle will not fit right.its only a single din deck .I did cut the inside of the dash .any suggestions for me would be great.my email is thenicktizzle@gmail.com.

The radio in my 2003 PAU just quit working and the thing that gives the temperature below it just works only occasionally. Could they have come loose from the cables behind the radio?
I have a double den radio exactly like the one you took out, would you know how to turn it on? When I push the power button nothing happens. There is a red light that did go on. And, do you still have your double din radio, would you care to sale it to me?

I don't understand what you meant about the yellow wire the factory radio works in accessory mode when you turn key so why wouldn't the aftermarket assuming it's hooked up right I'm about to take this venture as week as installing an amp and new rear deck and door speakers maybe I'll search around I may just tie in to the wipers I would hate to do it the "right way" just to tear it apart of it worked out for you then I may as well do it that way in tge first place
+jason bellotti I can't remember why I had to do that now. You may not have to, but there was a reason why I had to, but I can't remember Lol. Im thinking It had something to do with the theft deterrent system. If it don't work just run it to the wipers and that should do it.

no it has the original GM radio . i think the dealer i got it from put in a new buick radio, but for some reason it never showed a flashing security light on it now it is and every thing works

Hello I have the same Buick LeSabre mines a 2000 Limited I'm trying to install aftermarket TV screen and I have followed all my wires color code in matched up but I have 6 brown wires that I do not know where to connect to if I touch my red and yellow wire the screen comes on but will not go off I'm having a serious problem here can you help me out I'm also from Ohio
i believe the yellow is constant power (to keep the memory for clock, presets, etc.). the red is power, (on/off). the brown wires are to hook up the steering wheel control adapter (to make the steering wheel buttons work). also, to find constant power for yellow, i had to run down to headlight switch power. hope this helps, let me know how it turns out.

You don’t need to take the dash out and if you get the right radio with the right adapter mounts you won’t need to cut anything

Its usually a blue remote wire. Run it from the radio to the power on the amp

i no longer have it. but the red light is a security light, you may have to reset it.

Yes. It's the depth. But it's not too bad to cut. It's only plastic.
@@shabear1000 the plastic doesn't seem like the hard part. Removing the upper dash does. Haha, I'm not looking forward to it
It can be a bit of a pain getting the screws out of the dash down in the windshield, even more so back in. But stick with it you'll be alright.

that is your security light. it let's you know your security system is working.

i'm Happy its all working good . I just cant explain why it took 2 months for the light to be recognized by the cars computer.

You must be talking about the ribbon, that goes to the radio but it plugs into the harness that you have to buy in order to hook it all together

I didn't need to trim around the edge to install my kenwood in mine. It did need to be shimmed to fit properly, though.
Also, I don't think we took the top of the dash off, but sawed out the plastic inside from the front.

No. It should play, make sure it is reading the disk. Also, will it play while the car is in park?
My security light came on after I installed the radio. Now my AC doesn't work! Any way to fix this??

These were the original wheels from Buick. Check your local scrap yard, it's a 2001 Buick LeSabre.
