There is literally nothing to critique on the drumming here. Still, people make up stuff just to hate on Lars 😂 Man, this is perfection, and they’re playing it at almost 1.25x speed.
Yes
And after a 2 hour set too! That's fucking insane
This guy is very particular in every video, I don’t think he does this for no good reason.
bro I saw them live recently and Lars is so bad and out of timing xD
I mean it's not perfection. He's rushing it and is often out of time with the rest of the band, slightly dragging or speeding to catch up. It's Lars, I love him, but that's what he does
Seattle '89 best Metallica Live show ever recorded imo
Man, idk. Thier concert in Moscow 1991 after the fall of the Berlin Wall was great too. 1.6 million fans!
@@ianfranks541 The quality of sound with this show is insane. They played all of the really good songs. Crowd was absolutely into it. Guitars sound as good as they ever have in this video.
Metal Hammer Festival in Germany 1985 and Nagoya 1986
Toronto December 9th 1986 - Just weeks after Cliff died, they are angry and grieving. They played the songs so fkn FAST!!! Even faster than on this concert....lol Download 2004 no Lars at all for the concert. Metallica no James in Sparta 2000. These are in the top few shows as well as this Seattle 89 from my old VHS Live shit binge and purge box set. Wait until you hear Joey Jordison on drums how fast he went!!! Let alone the 1986 show with Jason's first live show how fast Fight fire with fire went - faster than Battery Seattle 89...lol
Lars often plays false offbeat, meaning it sounds like he plays his snare on the 1 and 3 beat, but he plays on 2 and 4. That why it fels like he is rushing.
Thats what makes that agression pulse too
Creeping Death and Master of Puppets are the best songs from this show
And whiplash
Take into consideration this being the last song of the set and still have all that energy. 80s Metallica ftw! They still do great live for 60 year old farts as well
Let’s go you finally reacted to this live version. You just make my day my man🙏🙏🤘🤘‼️‼️
Jason always brings it for the fans. He's the best up there!
I completely agree with Orion. That’s one that belongs in the top 5 Metallica songs of all time alongside Fade to Black and For Whom The Bell Tolls.
As for Lars’s drumming, on this song he does a lot of punk speed metal type drumming. Awesome song to react to.
Disposable heroes is my favorite song on master of puppets
Maiden “The Clansman” in Rio would be my request if you want crowd interaction.
This is my favorite song off Master of Puppets. That being said, I've never been a big Metallica fan. Maiden and Priest were more my cup of tea! Great reaction.
Just react to this entire concert. You’ll be amped
Every Metallica fan worth their salt has seen it, guarantee David has seen it all before
They still played breadfan that was the last song of that concert
They switched it up in ‘94 by opening with “Breadfan”.
Totally unexpected.
This was from their three concert box set…two from the black album era and this show
Gotta watch the 1988 New Jersey show of battery! James hits a note I’ve never heard him hit in a scream and could’ve held it for a solid 10 seconds
Proof that Helfied had the skill to go in that higher older KEA style.
He has a bit of that back now
Seattle 89 is the best recorded show they’ve done, but Toronto 86 is a natural wonder. The speed of the songs for that long with that level of consistency is hard to fathom.
San Diego 92 is no joke either.
Great
This song fucking rock pure thrash what more do u want fucking dave
Honestly Lars back in the days was solid, I understand the hate after this phase but here is just fine I guess
Like really fine
End of the show before encores. Usually they do 3 or 4 songs .
why is inflation so high ?
metalheads: lars
i'm not sure how to request but if you ever want to you should react to Xdinary heroes "Money on my mind" on stage! you've reacted to them before but this song is completely different from what you've watched and it's from their recent album!!
All official requests must be made on the Patreon page as a Bronze Tier member or higher.
Deberías reaccionar a sus interpretaciones en vivo de 2023 y 2024. Al parecer Lars está tocando con metrónomo muy ajustado. Sorry but i don't speak English very well.
I think battery was the last song of the first encore, I think Dyers Eve, Am I Evil, Whiplash then last song was Damage Inc so they still had some pretty intense stuff to do after Battery
It’s only 80’s Metallica for me. Couldn’t stand the Black album and all the trash that followed afterwards. Saw them open up for Ozzy in 1986 at Market Square Arena. It was a general admission show and I can still remember hundreds of people singing Master Of Puppets outside in the cold waiting for the doors to open. I saw the OG Cliff Burton 🙇♂️ James and Lars have ruined it for me now by being the douchebags that they really are. Kinda reminds me of Gene and Paul
Load and Reload have lots of filler…but they also have some of the best songs they ever wrote in my opinion.
