I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this! I’d love to see your grid method, specifically from looking at a small screen to drawing a huge portrait!!! They are the hardest!!! I feel like when I draw, the eyes are always off somehow!
I have just stumbled back into drawing and sketching. You are the best instructor out of anything I’ve found in the TH-cam world. I hope you can find a way to do this more often. Thank you show much for not putting a pay wall on your knowledge. I understand why people feel they have to but it’s really nice to have someone truly teach and allow people with limited experience have success something as intimidating as trying to create a piece of art.
Another really good pencil for dark shades in tight spots and even arm or face hair is the Pitt oil base (soft) made by Faber Castell. Goes well with charcoal also. Good work Zach.
It's like this is the tutorial I was looking for my whole life. Thanks for this turotial.🥹 charcoal and graphite hair drawing in one video is life changing for us beginners❤
I find dark hair isn't terribly hard. But I'd love to see how you handle blonde or even white hair. Stuff where the both the lights and the darks are very strong and very tightly packed.
I don't know why the grid confuses me so much. But let's say my photo reference is on my phone, and the picture I'm doing is 3×4 feet. How do I transfer that grid to a much larger drawing?
Hi Sir.. I am a beginner artist from India and I do believe that you follow correct steps to achieve realism. I feel a lot of difficulty while drawing animal fur . Please suggest via a tutorial video. Thanks 😊
Could you do an eye tutorial please
No

Honest question. Why smooth paper vs Vellum with charcoal. I have always heard smooth better for graphite and to use vellum for charcoal
