  • This is basically a therapy session for me so thanks for listening xox
For me growing up (and even now) it was rare or non existent to see someone with severe allergies out living a dream life, travelling, thriving etc.
I want to be that someone that makes people in the same situation not lose hope on hard days. Also, raising awareness for allergies is so important because people still don’t realise how serious they are and the effect they have on people’s lives.
My recent allergy test diagnosis was tough because I did get my hopes up and it reaffirmed that this is my life forever BUT now we have an exciting new challenge… living life to the fullest with fear. Wanna join?

Hi! I am from Australia will be living and working in Korea for a significant portion of next year. I am anaphylactic to peanuts, but no other nuts or allergens. I'd love to chat with you about this as I am really really nervous about living there with amypeanut allergy that could decide to kill me at any moment! 😂

ah how exciting! Honestly, don’t worry too much, allergies are common here (which is surprising) and it’s very well understood. Peanuts aren’t used a lot in cooking (but is often in fried chicken which is a shame). Omg feel free to reach out and let’s get together when you get here! 🫶

HI! I would love to visit South Korea but I'm allergic to sesame and I'm too scared. what do you suggest me?

honestly, the sesame allergy really is the difficult one here.. it’s used in most Korean cooking as a garnish. I’ve found Korean BBQ places that don’t use marinated meat OK, but the side dishes I stay away from. There are a lot of western options for food which I tend to stick to. I’ve never had any problems because I just trust my instinct when eating out here.. don’t let allergies hold you back!🫶
