The lack of communication between the defensive players is alarming, to say the least. The scary thing is the coaching staff hasn’t really addressed this issue. If the defense doesn’t do a 180 on their communication skills, FSU will be lucky to win 3 games this year.
I mean, the defense was damn good last yr when it needed to be. I'm not ready to throw Fuller to the wolves. Maybe they have been more worried about keeping players healthy, and its costing them on the field. Maybe that can be fixed. We gotta get it figured out, whatever it is, and something needs to change this off-season concerning recruiting.
Everything needs to be simplified. They're making it too difficult and putting too much shit in these kids heads. And it's called paralyzation by analyzation. Simplify, it get rid of a lot and make it a base defense and offense.
Speaking about tackling, he said, “it’s not just a Florida State thing…” He’s absolutely right, Duquesne can’t tackle either. They gave up 306 rushing yards and we only gave up 273 rushing yards, so there’s some truth to that, I guess…🤷♂️
I guess people aren't watching the games. The defensive coordinator calls the plays and comes up with the defensive gameplan. Players execute said plan and plays. When the players aren't making tackles, firing to the ball, not communicating, its a player problem. Im not really seeing what everyone else is. I think once the players start to overcome thinking too much and match the physicality of our opponents, we will turn it around. Certain players shouldnt be starting too, but im not a coach.
It seems that you sir understand accountability quite well. The players make the plays the coaches call the plays. When a player has a phenomenal game he wins player of a game, there are no coach of the game.
Fuller talks about the what is and what abouts, he blames the players for what's going on but all the while it's him and he never takes the blame for defense playing like they are.. it's him he gets out coached and make no adjustments.. he's the problem on defense
Deflection here. Yep, tackling is a lost basic fundamental across the board from youth to the League. We can't be "head bussa's" anymore but dude...these young didn't just start playing football
Clearly these coaches aren’t being honest. You know what a good defense looks like as you had one last year. So you match up your players with that level and what do you see. Be honest. Player A does have the strength of 2023 D, or Player B doesn’t have the fundamentals of 2023 D, or Player C is not understanding our defensive scheme. Etc etc.
Is it me or do the olayers seem sluggish and weak .where is storms and the conditioning....its either that or the players just don't care...which i think uts that too
Curious as to why the fan base really disliked Charles Kelly. Was he the best DC post 2012? No but imo I thought he was the best DC we had when it came to adjustments after the half. Overall, my favorite DC was Mark Stoops. I do agree with most of the commentators that the disparity in adjustments from coach Fuller is concerning
You know how the fan base is....they expect everything to be perfect. I too liked Charles Kelly as a D coordinator..Kentucky needs to drop Stoops so we can pick him back up 😂

It's all about having a motor you gotta want it more than the other guy in front of you. We don't compete. They already got their money.
