This! I’m in a pretty crazy fitness journey and I had a friend say (offensively) the other day “it must feel so good to have the old you back?” I.e. ‘isn’t it good you’re slim again’. No babes, the last time I was slim I was suffering from anorexia and ended up hospitalised. My journey to recovering from that was much needed weight gain and healing and not thinking about my body. Now, I’m doing it right, slowly and healthily with the help of a coach, a nutritionist and a PT.
I never comment on videos, but I stumbled upon your channel during the pandemic and it gave me the kick I needed to also make a big old lifestyle change! Instead of spin, or weights - I fell in love with swimming and now go 5-6 times a week. It's made a huge difference to my life, and with intuitive eating I'm now 20 pounds down and feeling the best I ever have. Thank you for being such a positive, open and honest fitness role model - you're doing amazing!
I just started my fitness journey, I'm 2 months in and already feel quite amazing!!! My confidence is already much better and I feel very grateful to my body for being capable of doing all of the things that it is doing. Thanks so much for sharing, Emma! I really love your videos. 💜
You have come so far and should be so proud of yourself Emma as long as you are happy in yourself that is all that matter, either way you are beautiful! ❤️
I went through a big transformation, I’m now a crossfit athlete and weightlifter and over the pandemic I gained weight, similar to you emotional eating. I gained muscle too and strength. It’s really refreshing to hear you acknowledge you won’t go back to your old body. Sometimes it’s so hard not to compare ourselves to where we used to be and it’s something I’ve struggled with. That’s super helpful 🙌🏻 so happy to hear you’re enjoying your training.
Oh Em!! I never comment on videos but this actually brought a tear to my eye!! You should be so proud of yourself, you seem so happy and that’s what is important. Doing this for only you. I’m also on the same journey and you motivated me throughout. Such an inspiration. Wish there was more people like you in this world. Always keeping it real.
Dear Emma, I really, really, really like youuuu! You have come so far, well done! I did not know your background.before, thanks for sharing the whole story! Please do not blame yourself. Everybody need, deserve and have some "off times". It is really normal and human. Lots of love...
Love these updates! I joined a power lifting group of ladies last year - and I say without being dramatic it changed my life. I have never enjoyed exercise more than I love lifting and putting down heavy shit! :D
After 4.5 years of barre, I started lifting weights using online YT classes like Caroline Girvan, which proved to be a gateway drug to working out with my husband. Who is a powerlifter. He uses the 5/3/1 method, and I have to say I really see the results after just 4 months of training! I think I found you originally because of your fitness videos, and then stayed for all the rest of it. It's really lovely to see how far you've come in just the time I've been around.
Your fitness journey videos have always been very inspiring for me, especially as someone who decided to start their own fitness journey at the beginning of 2020. I always relate to what you say in each video every year because it reflects my own journey with fitness and my body and where I want to progress. As of the end of 2021, I have lost around 50 pounds, and it's just amazing knowing the difference between who I am now and who I was at the start of 2020. For anyone else looking to start a fitness journey, don't be afraid and just have a go at it! I used to be someone who never exercised ever, to someone who regularly exercises 5-6 times a week, either walking, doing cardio or weights. It takes a lot of learning but its incredible what we can achieve if we put our mind to it 😊
Such an inspiring and motivating watch! I'm currently in the middle of starting a fitness journey and I think it's so true the part where you say you should do it for the right reasons 🙌🏻 it's not to 'punish' yourself or your body, it's to nourish yourself with the right foods, work on strengthening your body and the physical improvements will be a bonus, I think the most important part is effect it has on your mental health 🙌🏻❤
I’d love if you could do a video discussing your methods/tips/training plan at the start versus now. I’m sure it’s been discussed throughout your videos, but I think it would be helpful. I’m just getting back to the gym (a few weeks in) and would love to hear your recommendations on digging in on fat loss and strength building at the beginning and if you’d still recommend the way you started or if you’d change anything after knowing everything you know now!
I have been following your journey since your first weight loss video and I have to say you are the reason I’ve started mine. I’ve got a long way to go and definitely am going to create one of these spreadsheets!!
Thank you for making this video, it’s helped me so much. My weight loss trajectory has been exactly the same as yours: huge initial loss and then some regain. I’m now also starting a cut and refocusing my workouts. I felt ashamed and like a failure for regaining some weight but hearing you talk about a health & fitness journey (which is rarely linear) in such an honest and healthy way has adjusted my outlook for the better. You’ve empowered me simply by being the beautiful soul that you are, never change 💓 You support us as much as we support you 💕
What an inspiration you are Emma. You are so knowledgeable, you know your stuff!! I am 50 years old and I love lifting weights, have done for years. I love following your journey. Even though I am old enough to be your mum, I can relate on so many levels 💕💕
I discovered you in the pandemic and thought to myself I have finally found another girl I can actually relate too!!! I've just entered my 3rd year of my turn around! Keep it up!
Thanks for showing us your journey. Love your spreadsheet..might do it like this from now on. Seems easier than writing it down every week on my board! 💜 thanks again!!!!
Oh I love this video so much ❤️ you’ve inspired me so much. I’ve just started a gym plan and I’m surprised at how much I’m loving it. Setting goals and tracking them makes you feel so powerful 💪🏻
This has honestly been so helpful! Thank you Emma for making these videos, your such an inspiration. I’ve just made my own workout plan loosely based off yours as I’m at the start of my journey and this is the first time I’ve felt really ready to give this exercise malarkey a real shot and that’s thanks to you. I hope to be as well accomplish as you are in the future. 🌸
It’s so inspiring to see how it’s become a lifestyle, being here since the start of your journey 🙌 . Hoping mine will turn into that as well. I’ve had a pretty hard setback, not moving at all for two months now. And feeling like I’m going back to how I used to feel, depressed, tired and not proud of myself. But I just pulled out my running clothes during this vid. You’ve inspired me to get back on it. 💕 Looking forward to what you’re eating and the week of workouts!
Loved this video so much! Such an inspiration. Just wanted to say thank you because you are the reason I seemed help for bulimia last year and am finally taking steps towards recovery xx
I’m currently in the lull (had a baby during COVID and lost my mojo) after previously loosing 5st hearing you talk about getting out of it is so relatable and motivating!! You’ve smashed it xx
Hi Emma. I found your channel about a year ago. This is my first time commenting as I'm a bit technology challenged. 😅 I think what you have accomplished is awesome. I love your open and honest attitude. You have amazing insight and wisdom for someone so young. Love to you, looking forward to more vlogs to come.
In August I joined the gym again and I lost about a stone since, then as of the beginning of the year I started going to weight classes at my gym and the numbers on the scales haven't changed in a month but I have lost fat and gained muscle. Numbers on the scales isn't always accurate for your progress which is something I have been learning 💖
I'd love to see a video where you react to your old fitness videos. Well done for getting to where you are and starting that journey. I'm just starting mine now and find these videos very motivational.
Emma, you should look into the app Strong. Its basically your spreadsheet but in an app that makes it very easy to use while at the gym and track progress. It also have measurement and weight you can track. 😙😌
You have such a great personality 🍀☺️💪🏻 I love your energy and you look fantastic! I think you inspire a lot of people with your healthy attitude towards fitness. Me definitely 😃 Keep going 🥰💪🏻
Loved this content and cant wait to see your workouts I have no idea what to do at the gym! It's a nice guide to get started loosely without paying a trainer. Xo You are beautiful inside and out 🥰 Have you ever had a body composition test if you're into science?
Loved this video ❤️❤️ just curious - what about core/abs training? I noticed you didn’t mention that at all. Also do you eat a lot of fiber and veggies? You’ve come so far, and are so strong - can’t wait to see what milestones you’ll hit next!! 😍💪💪
I’ve definitely gained muscle recently- my weight is the same but trousers just don’t fit the same on me!! It was definitely something I struggled with at first but I’m learning to embrace my new curves ☺️ like you I like to exercise for my mental health so I try not to focus on physical results too much
Wow Emma, this is amazing. I feel polar opposite to you right now. I am in my early 40s and am on antidepressants and have been larger than I would like for years. However the antidepressants seem to pile it on. I got sick of tracking calories so I decided to embark on "intuitive eating" I really enjoyed it, until I got on the scales after a few months of doing it and realised I am now the heaviest I have ever been. I have been walking over 10k steps daily for a Samaritans fund raiser for the last 10 days and expected to lose at least a pound, got on the scales this morning and haven't lost an ounce. I can feel myself slipping into wanting to binge today. I wonder if I need to go back to tracking everything I eat, even though I really don't want to. Do you have any thoughts, you inspire me so much. Xxx
I would love to do strength training but I’m worried about lifting heavy weights on my own - especially chest press and squats. What would you suggest?
hey i wanted to know is it possible to gain weight i. the collarbone area i lost aloe of weight there bc i was listening to youtube videos and my collarbone is so prominent will o gain weight there again
hey emma!! i loved this video, it felt like we were two friends having a girly chat regarding health and fitness :) i would love to see videos that deep dive into your workouts and tips you’ve learnt along the way? 🤍 (edit: okay so you actually mentioned that you’re gonna film a week of workouts so ignore me haha)
Wow I love when you said don’t chase a body you once had but chase for a better version. It’s exactly what I needed to hear

"never chase a body you once had" WOW
VIDEO IDEA: i would love to see a video comparing how you started and things you did to what you do now (then vs now)
I would LOVE if you would share your spreadsheet!! 🤞🤞👀👀 I cannot deal with excel 😥

I really appreciate your video, I needed to hear this message today. "Never chase a body you once had"
Thank you for sharing and also saying that your journey is not linear. I agree pictures help track

Honestly best video I’ve watched on this subject . Xxx

Oooh do excited for this one!! ✨
How did you get past the fear of going alone? I am wanting to join the gym but the fear of going alone stops me! You have inspired me!
You have such a great personality 🍀☺️💪🏻 I love your energy and you look fantastic! I think you inspire a lot of people with your healthy attitude towards fitness. Me definitely 😃 Keep going 🥰💪🏻

I got a PT recently best thing I have done. Surprising really enjoying the gym
I want this jumper!!! 😂❤️❤️ where is it from?? I’ve seen it on insta too and I’m in love 😍
Hi Emma! I love the way you track your workouts. Do you sell the google sheets template?
I’ve definitely gained muscle recently- my weight is the same but trousers just don’t fit the same on me!! Omg i wish i knew how to make a spreadsheet like that :(
I would love to hear more about your cut. I am looking to do a cut soon and would love to know more of what to eat etc xz
I absolutely love your purple jumper!! Where is it from? 💜💜
I love your charts lol ❤️ I will do mine, that might motivate, I got to do excel haha love it too
That spreadsheet 😍
Do you count calories or watch your carbs and sugar intake?
I could listen to you talk for hours 😭
We you say you've been doing it solo I could have sworn you mentioned an online coach a few vlogs back?
I would love to do strength training but I’m worried about lifting heavy weights on my own - especially chest press and squats. What would you suggest?
hey i wanted to know is it possible to gain weight i. the collarbone area i lost aloe of weight there bc i was listening to youtube videos and my collarbone is so prominent will o gain weight there again
Also have you thought about becoming a qualified PT? Just for the fun of it?
Very good!
Wow this is so motivating.....
Muscle doesn't weigh more than fat, that's wrong, a pound is a pound no matter what the object is, muscle is denser than fat but smaller in size
wait…. she and tim broke up???
Nearly a year ago x
What are calories now that you are back in a deficit?? Don't mind me asking.
You’re 5’3”?! I always assumed you were tall. You give off tall girl energy lol
(From a fellow 5’3”ish gal)
good video
Zero carbs solves everything
You said you were doing a cut but not how you were doing it 😭😭
hey emma!! i loved this video, it felt like we were two friends having a girly chat regarding health and fitness :) i would love to see videos that deep dive into your workouts and tips you’ve learnt along the way? 🤍
