First he was invisible and trolling Dez, but then when the carts where going out of control (it appeared) he was trying to stop the carts from going back or at least send them in the right direction! Which the best part is once there was a scream of the carts having trouble Altare instantly moved to help, like a true hero!
And thus, the hero party defeated the demon king
