- Drogheda is my hometown - I left in 2000's for work further afield. There was nothing at home, lack of housing etc.
In the decades that's followed and Celtic Tiger the landscape exploded and modernised. It should be officially a city. The old is becoming swallowed by the new. Countryside is now housing up beyond our quarry.

MV Irish Trader, ship was run aground here in 1974 during storms in the Irish Sea and it has remained on the flat sandy beach ever since. Slowly being eating away by the salty sea.
Drogheda is an industrial and port town in County Louth on the east coast of Ireland, 42 km north of Dublin city centre. It is located on the Dublin-Belfast corridor on the east coast of Ireland, mostly in County Louth but with the south fringes of the town in County Meath, 40 km north of Dublin.
