THE OUTRIGGER SETUP - Extreme Boats 795XST "STELLA"

We get asked all the time in how we set up our outrigger so here it goes!
On our new 795XST from Extreme Boats we have opted for the Ocean Blue S/S outrigger bases,. They are full S/S, durable and easy to put in or out. For poles we went with the Ocean Blue 19ft carbon poles, these are super light weight and very stiff (just what you want in a outrigger pole).

If that is a basic triclover clamp, which it appears to be?
With the clamp in the opened up position screw the nut all the way down to the shank of the thread, then carefully with a tig welder put a very small dab of weld right on the the end of the bolt thread, that will stop you from loosing the nut if it viabrates undone or if someone unwinds it too far..
