Analyzing FNAF: Security Breach Animatronics Up Close (Tiny Details on Roxanne Wolf, Vanny, & More!)

- On my TikTok, I did a close-up analysis of the Five Nights at Freddy's Security Breach animatronics and the videos became very popular, so I thought TH-cam might want to see it!
I look closer at Vannesa, Vanny, Roxanne Wolf, Glamrock Chica, Monty, Glamrock Freddy, and the Daycare attendant and found some interesting things. I am only looking at their cleanest versions (11-12 AM), dirtiest versions (3-5 AM), and then their shattered versions.

One thing I admire about the glamrock models, Even if they are clean they still have some minor paint chipping/dirt smudges and aren't just colour.

I recently found why Vanessa's zoomed in at Lost and Found: because they only gave mouth animations to Freddy.
I thought the other animatronic's mouths move when they had voice lines.
Most lines happen when they're on the prowl and aren't animated. As for the cutscenes before they're shattered, Monty's zoomed in at 'Rock and roll', Chica's turned away at 'I smell pizza', Roxy just grunted. Monty and Chica's yells last minute could count, I guess...

I just discover that Roxy technically should have sockets for eyes like in the Ruins. The blueprint showing that you can find in Part and Service, pay close attention to it.
weird thing is, in the trailer it looks like the fiberglass casing that goes over an animatronic’s metal bits, and under the plastic casing. that should’ve been destroyed long ago.
Feels like a retcon, however, we didn’t get a proper look at her endo face in game, so maybe they didn’t need to make it for base game’s Shattered Roxanne as it was unnecessary to do up until Ruin’s trailer released.

Despite the fact the FNaF SB isn’t the best game in the franchise, I still love the effort that went into the amount of detail Steel Wool put into the environments and animatronics models. It is a bit disappointing that the animatronics and pizzaplex weren’t used to their full potential, BUT, I still think they did an alright job. It could’ve been a lot worse of a game lmao. They did such a fantastic job with the modeling and I can’t wait to see the models for Ruin when it comes out.

If you look closely, on the back of suns circuit board there is actually a picture of a moon with a warning sign ⚠ almost saying: warning, moon is very dangerous and extreme caution should be taken when approaching

I have a theory: since Monty has rust inside of his shell, it would kind of make sense. His model is a gator, and he might not be effected by water and be able to go in it. And maybe some leaked into his shell? Again just a theory.

My headcanon for Roxy's destroyed appearance when shattered (especially at the rib region) is due to her blindness. Imagine being woken up again and finding out a giant heavy object is crushing you, but you can't find out what it is, and you accidentally destroy a part of your skeleton in the process? (Likely cause of the claw marks on the ribs)
There's also what appears to be blood around her ribs.
Maybe the handprints on Vanny is actually her putting on her suit?
Probably, but it's an interesting little detail the devs put in even though it's so hard to see (because when she gets closer to you the screen gets all staticy)

Something amazing is the technology that daycare has, it literally changes color, its clothes change color, the patterns change shape, the head changes a lot, simply impressive
Almost wondered about showing gooey cheese within the mouth of Chica's endo - sounds pretty gross, or the mystery mix leaking from her torso...
Also how apart from base animations like knocking, her left arm seems mostly limp.
I think her left arm is severely damaged hence why in ruins trailer contrary to her concept art missing its right arm steel-wool swapped her missing arm to be the left one instead
This was a really interesting watch-you’d never notice this stuff normally so I love seeing the attention to detail they still put in
I personally feel that the animatronics getting so dirty ruined the feel of the game, which is why i installed a clean animatronics mod lol. Makes sense for a giant pizza Plex with robots constantly cleaning areas that arent even open to the public and areas open to the public that they would be clean. And the animatronics are super advanced with Ai too.
Yea, I never understood how they got so dirty or why..like wtf they doing?? I get chica (she literally eats trash and gets in trash) but why is everyone else so dirty?
For Monty, i believe he’s been smashing up items and other objects, being reckless enough to get damaged himself, had some stuff fall on him during his rampage.
For Roxanne, maybe she was trying to sabotage the go karts, knowing her egomaniac personality, probably roughed herself up in some unreachable area. Which is surprising since she really does care about fashion and looks, yet lets herself get completely banged up and dirty, talk about a hypocrite for wanting to look the best.
They are controlled by Vanny, so they are probably searching every corner of the pizzaplex, which would get them more dirty than you think.

the glamrocks appearances has some of the coolest designs i ever saw. 80s style always has its effect. even their shattered state are well made and detailled. but it's depressing to see how in RUIN , we learn they're never going to be repaired by fazbear and they will be left a much worse state. it's especially hearthbreaking for roxy who used to maintain her appareance to please everyone
The details on Roxanne are insane. I hope the devs know how much we appreciate their work.
I really wish we had a longer "real time" in the game, as in more than 1 night and some better story telling. (I mourn the concepts for this game because half of them were scrapped due to crunch time) These designs and the details in them are nice, but it all happens too quick for me to believe it; you're telling me that in a single night, all the animatronics, who were fairly clean and well-kept, got horribly dirty within 5 hours? The shattered models will obviously look dirty and deteriorated, but the 4 am ones don't sit right with me. They also could have pulled some really cool phobia/fear/unsettlement stuff with this game to make up for the general lack of the usual scary elements. (I am very passionate so this might get long gvgvh) Example of such:

Monty's whole area is bayou wetlands themed, there are bodies of water everywhere, it is BEGGING for Monty, a GATOR, to be swimming in it! While there are the gator heads that pop up, seeing monty himself in the water would definitely cause some dread and chill, especially if the water is dirty and he starts getting water damage as time goes on; getting slimier and voice getting worse and him rusting up. For an extra factor you could even have an area where a walkway over the water has collapsed and you have to carefully get across through the murky, stagnant waters. I would love to see plastic ducks or swans floating in the water too, the idea of seeing those move as monty swims past them *when you can't see him* makes my skin crawl.

While multiple nights would of been cool it just wouldn't of made sense with the plot (why would Gregory be there more than 1 night? He's trying to escape.)
I think they could of gone without making the animatronics dirty (till they're broken)..it does look really strange.
@@testerwulf3357 I get your point but at the same time the plot was shifted around some as the deadline came in, also in the trailer (and I think the game) its said the pizzaplex would be closed for the week. So I do think it could have been possible if done correctly, especially if the cut content wasn't cut.
Update, I wasn't entirely accurate on the "closed for the week", it says THIS word for word: "Freddy and the gang are pretty tired, but they'll be back again next week after a few days of scheduled maintenance" I don't know what day of the week it is so this announcement could mean anything from the weekend to the whole week
in the trailer for ruin dlc, we see the inside of vanny's mask. it looks like her eyes glow through electrical means
The mask looks like the help wanted one instead of the one from the costume in security breach
I noticed something on Vanny. Her glowing eyes seem to have a texture similar to the red static you see when she is nearby. Maybe she is able to project it onto you? Maybe it’s an indication of Afton’s possession? I don’t know.
This is my own theory:
From what it seemed like whenever the animatronics got shattered it seemed like the glitchtrap virus kinda got more weaker on them for example
With Chica at 4 A:M her legs were shaking violently, same with Roxy and Monty,
However when shattered, Roxy’s legs weren’t shaking at all, same with Monty and chica (btw this is what I saw when I played the game)
That’s just my theory tho

Fun fact, the reason why Chica’s endo skeleton looks all coloured and sludgy is a mistake, see the ‘Shattered’ version of the animatronics have two materials and two textures, one for their endo skeleton and one for their outer suit. This is so that the developers can put more detail into the suits texture whilst also having all the animatronics share one endo skeleton texture.
What happened was they accidentally assigned the suit texture to both Chica’s suit and her endo skeleton, for some reason though they’ve never fixed this bug…
I’m pretty sure it’s because chicas mystery mix, and all the trash and pizza.

No it’s literally just the wrong texture, I’ve checked the game files to be sure and for some reason it just loads the wrong texture onto her endo. You can see where the colour just doesn’t match up anywhere on the seams and you might notice how the colour is mostly composed of whites, pinks, greens and oranges which are the colours of Chica’s casing
Am I the only one that questions how they got so dirty? I understand chica and Freddy but what about the other animatronics? They don't go through trash. Thank you for showing all the cool details. Will you make a video on ruin when it comes out

Can someone tell me why the animatronics get that dirty as time progresses? I recall the pizzaplex being fairly clean in areas that are accessible to the public. The only parts that are dirty are the basement, old pizzeria, and certain rooms that are for staff only. Even then, I don't think that they should be getting that dirty and scuffed from visiting those areas. Does it have something to do with the virus?
They are hacked so perhaps from so much running they collide with each other or other obstacles getting dirty with garbage dust and oil and even breaking their plastics as we can see in their textures that look somewhat cracked 💁♀️
Or they could be just extra models that were put in the basement and rusted and cracked over time but that be weird
True, but you forgot that there's a way for them to get dirty through trash, in some place Gregory couldn't get access to, and other places down below. Also, that hall where Gregory had to escape through is also dirty.
What's also weird is that they appear cleaner after the boss fights. Like wtf?

Love how nobody ever mentions how freddy's eyes glow white/yellow when they're supposed to be blue.
It's something I noticed the moment I first saw him in game and it's bothered me ever since.
His eyes aren't blue as he's booted in Safe Mode after he fell, in the beginning his eyes are blue.

Gregory's flashlight is also marked Fazlite, one of Game Track's videos, with the Burntrap boss, showed it glitched up with the blaster drawn, and Jetfork's rtx mod also makes it more visible.
Honestly, it's pretty impressive that they managed to make one of the most terrifying original animatronic characters into a lovable one. I wonder how many players of the original game had flashbacks when the Toreador Song started playing in the movie trailer.

So much effort put in to it and in the basement there are pipes and a plastic belt holds them if you go behind the pipes you can see that even the plastic belts holder is decorated!
The Glamrocks' models vs their carpets: Freddy wears a bolt, Roxy and Monty have stars, but Chica hasn't a heart pattern

There has to be some kind of explanation as to why the animatronics get so dirty over the course of like, 7 hours. I can understand Chica, but that looks like *years* worth of damage…

At first I thought vanny stitched her suit together at the back but after this she clearly doesn’t, she has it tied together like shoe laces and probably stuffs the knot into her head or in the back of her neck

my theory for the daycare attendant having those weird markings on his eyes were originally meant to be eyelashes but got cut and instead of removing them, the design staff just must've reversed the eye models.

Pretty cool video and you did a great job show casing the models in-game with the freecam. Not sure if it was because you didn't have access to the files or you just wanted to do this in-game but the video turned out great. 👍
I do have some thoughts regarding the models themselves:
The reason why Shatter Chica's Endoskeleton looks so dirty & weird is because it's using the wrong texture. While I don't know the specifics as I haven't looked into the files, it's obvious to me because of how sharp & random the color changes are throughout the endoskeleton. That's the edge of the texture repeating because it was designed for a different part of her model or a different model altogether.
I've never noticed how different the 4AM Dirty Animatronics are from their Shattered versions, I wonder if they're supposed to have the same amount of dirtiness and the devs ran out of time/forgot to change the textures. It doesn't make sense for the Shattered versions to be cleaner, and it doesn't make much sense for the animatronics to be so dirty in general. Chica at least rummages through the trash but why are the others so dirty? They're just running around the pizzaplex which is generally really clean.
To me, the strange pattern in Sun/Moon's eyes looks like another set of eyeballs that are poking through the main ones. It's got the same line in the middle and the edges are extremely sharp & similar to what happens when you overlap two models with each other.
I feel like steelwood focused more on the detail then the game itself
They didn't have much time to focus on the game, but they did put a lot of effort into the looks and designs (the pizzaplex itself looks amazing for example!)

A small thing i noticed with Monty. After he gets shattered, his eyes turn orange. I just always assumed they were orange.
And another thing about Shattered Roxy. Her claws on her hands are bigger and longer than normal Roxy's.

Sun has a boot print on his face and also his circuit board has a warning sign underneath a Moon
Something stood out to me when it comes to Shattered Chica’s endo textures. They have a mismatch of green, brown, and pink colors, but that’s not how the endo actually looks like. In fanmade renders and even an official model showcase, the endo textures are grey. I have no idea why the endo textures look the way they are in-game, but unfortunately they don’t represent trash or food. It’s mostly likely a texture error in the game.

I have to prop Steel Wool for all their amazing tiny attention to details. A lot of care and work went into these models, it’s extremely impressive and fascinating to look at. Makes them really feel more real and alive.
I have a theory behind the handprints on Vanny.
It could represent how William is "getting his hands" on her and you see a lot more on her head, so, this could further prove how he has more control over her mind than her body (as implied in Help Wanted and hinted in Special Delivery).
I have a theory behind her patches too:
It could symbolize how there are 'patches' in Afton's control over her and she still has a different 'pattern' that doesn't fit with him. (I know it's a stretch but it's just my thinking)
Strange in Ruin we see that Sundrop/Moondrop/Eclipse has a reboot part but in the main game he doesn't have it

Thank you for this! These are really interesting! Some details I didn't even notice before. You can't find better character references than this. It's impossible to get close to the animatronics in game without being killed. I knew a mod of some kind would be required to get a closer look
The details man, Steel Wool needs to be given far more credits
it's funny how in shattered versions the animatronics are cleaner than at 4am

My question for the animatronics is how did they get so dirty? Like at 4 AM they just become dirty and worn without any explanation.
I bet that the people who created Fnaf Security Breach worked so hard at those details.
Fnaf sb fails in gameplay mechanics,connection to the lore,classic fnaf formula and having a scary approach since its too "family friendly" but mostly gets the desings,easter eggs,details,animations and graphics right.a nice game overall
