This is off the main topic of wiring as shown in this video. But still electrical related maybe you have some input. 2001 vlx600 deluxe Turning into a bobber over this off season and decided to run LEDs I have the relay. I have a diode. So hyper flashing and four way blinker issue is fixed and everything works as it should. Only thing that’s stumping me is my rear taillight/running light Problem I’m having is the taillight is always lit up as if my brakes are pulled or pushed with foot. I’ve read around saying to “adjust your rear brake switch” but when I have my running light in the rear disconnected. Shouldn’t my brake light still be lit up full as if the brakes were pulled? This isn’t the case. With the running light disconnect it works as it should. Minus having a rear running light. So I don’t think an adjustment to the rear brake switch will fix my problem. Anyways here’s how it’s hooked up BIKE HARNESS FOR REAR SIGNALS/TAILLIGHT/BRAKELIGHT brown - key on power Green - ground Green/yellow - brake lights x2 for front switch and rear switch Light blue - right signal Orange - left signal LED HARNESS x2 (I have separate led strips on the right and left side of the rear arms/frame) Black - ground x2 Red - brakelights x2 Blue - right signal x2 Yellow - left signal x2 White - running light x2 This is how they’re spliced together Brown -> white = running light Green -> black = negative/ground Green yellow -> red = brakelight Light blue -> blue = right signal Orange -> yellow = left signal. Why would the rear taillight be illuminating as if the brake is pulled? Like I said. If I have the running light disconnected everything works as it should. Signals. Brake lights up when brakes applied. Is there something I’m missing? Load equalizer/diode etc.
What make are the lights? What does the LED lights manual suggest for wiring into factory harness? That would help with possibly troubleshooting a mistake if there is one.

Turning into a bobber over this off season and decided to run LEDs
I have the relay. I have a diode. So hyper flashing and four way blinker issue is fixed and everything works as it should. Only thing that’s stumping me is my rear taillight/running light
Problem I’m having is the taillight is always lit up as if my brakes are pulled or pushed with foot.
Anyways here’s how it’s hooked up
BIKE HARNESS FOR REAR SIGNALS/TAILLIGHT/BRAKELIGHT
brown - key on power
Green - ground
Green/yellow - brake lights x2 for front switch and rear switch
Light blue - right signal
Orange - left signal
LED HARNESS x2 (I have separate led strips on the right and left side of the rear arms/frame)
Black - ground x2
Red - brakelights x2
Blue - right signal x2
Yellow - left signal x2
White - running light x2
This is how they’re spliced together
Brown -> white = running light
Green -> black = negative/ground
Green yellow -> red = brakelight
Light blue -> blue = right signal
Orange -> yellow = left signal.
Why would the rear taillight be illuminating as if the brake is pulled? Like I said. If I have the running light disconnected everything works as it should. Signals. Brake lights up when brakes applied. Is there something I’m missing? Load equalizer/diode etc.
