Great - I did this route in 1994 as part of a 6 month north pakistan & indian himalaya solo cycling trip. I think the Leh-Manali stretch was amongst the most dramatic & memorable.
Holy Shit!!! I can't believe this!!!!!! You guys are legend! I have been to these places in car and I felt the lack of oxygen a lot and you guys in cycle. Huge Respect for you girls! Love from India! ♥️
It's not that hard brother. In Nepal, we do mtb trips above 5000m like the Annapurna Circuit which is 5416 m. And we don't have roads like in this video which is pretty tough.
in 2018 I made a day bike trip from Leh up to the Khardungla top and back, which was hard enough for me (with the way back to Choglamsar just 100 km). Huge respect to both of you for achieving this 500 km tour, with all the luggage I didn't have to carry on my short tour.
Wow - you crazy mad pair - for a first time out, that's a real achievement. I've been trekking at those altitudes, and even that is hard work, so cycling must have been exhausting! Well done both of you!
Hats off to you guys. India always welcomes you back. It takes a heart of steel and determination as solid as Himalayas to even think of such courageous task.
I have worked as Vet in those area for five year so I can truly understand what it needs to do what you ladies did in those challenging mountains. You were amazing and I salute your guts and resolve. I am sure you will cherish these moments for life. Do come again. May be on motor bike expedition. cheers
Have seen so many videos where guys with their heavy adventure motorbikes complaining about this and that. And here are two lovely ladies in bikes smiling and enjoying. you guys are the inspiration. love you guys. 🙌🚴
One of the best video I ever seen in TH-cam... so emotional when she cry n at the same time inspired me a lot... Congrats n thanks for the video... INDIA(Manipur)
Well done Hannah and Lucy! You are very inspirational and certainly not average cyclists! Personality is key to achieve such feats and you have it in abundance.
Just watched your John O Groats to Lands End video followed by this, what an adventure! 😁 The video was well thought out and put together! You can definitely see a massive improvement from the two videos.
S Fergus thankyou so much for your kind words! Yeh we upped our game in terms of the adventure and the filming. It's so much fun to do, we will continue. Thankyou for watching :)
This video is so inspiring. Great respect for both of you. it shows us if we have true for our self and keep working on what we love. Everything is possible. Love from India 🇮🇳 💚
Wow, you girls are brilliant!! I've never seen Indians doing that. You made me think I was a foreigner in my own country. Best wishes to both of you, you deserve more subs.
Sweet n very wonderfully insightful video...congrats on such an amazing ride n the trail n tribulations of doing something most of us will never do...cheers n thank you for sharing...
Ok , first of all , bloody brilliant what you guys did. And the second thing , i wish to do this same trip so it would be very helpful if you guys could make a video on the entire preparation process , the itinerary , the gear that made this trip possible. Goodluck and Godspeed from India
Thank you from India. Thanks for exploring my country without any pollution. You reached dream location . I'm also a bycycle lover and I'm planning to ride the top road of the world.
did the same manali to khardung-la cycle in july 2016,,, but with a YHAI indian group.... khardung la is difficult but not impossible... Leh to khardung la took 6hrs completely breathless on the top,,,, but khardung la to Leh took only 30Mins.. i will do it again. i had great time with Indian friends. great video by you ..... highly appreciated...
Damn !! You've done the impossible thing. No one on TH-cam has ever posted something like this. Truly amazing. I've been there years ago on bikes though. It takes a lotta courage to even think of going on a bicycle. You've got some steel balls Bruthhherrrrrs 💪🤜🤛👌😎
Many many congratulation. 👍 Just Amazing energy and great mental strength can make it possible. You inspired me to do same thing. 😊 Hopefully I will do. Hats Off !!👍
Cycling on this road is difficult but you have made it...and above all you chose to cycle and it's rare to see such thing in this eco sensitive Ladakh... everyone is using bikes and vehicle which is destroying the prestine air of Himalaya.
I too want to do cycling to ladakh. Well not now but one day i will. I have done 200km. You are an inspiration for many girls and boys. Cycling at that place is tough and the road condition is also not so good. My brother had been to ladakh from delhi on a motorbike and he told the roads at reaching ladakh is pretty bad. Good luck and always do crzy adventure like this
Two powerful women's ...love From INDIA

Watching this is such a pleasant experience in itself. I just came back from Leh and saw atleast 15 people cycling. It is becoming a thing now.
It's very very tough to do cycling at high altitude
