Alright! I think this video is crucial, because I bet I'm not the only one who finds this blank canvas with black ink too plain to imagine my content in it, and as such, seem very challenging in trying to visualize how Notion can be used to my advantage, so this video really sells it to me more than any other. Thanks for making it! 🍻 🍻
😂 Thanks for taking the time to show me how to do something you obviously dislike. I do appreciate it. Your videos really are the easiest to understand. I agree about the widgets btw. It's what I meant about liking aesthetics but not clutter. I have a clock widget on my phone simply because I have difficulty reading the time at the top but I see no need to have one on notion or my computer. This is a great video. The page looks appealing to click into without losing functionality. You are awesome.
Man, your final rant made me laugh. I'm just starting with Notion and your videos are very helpful (and also entertaining, so I don't get distracted), so thanks!!
This is great lol. I like to use Notion for a bunch of things, not just productivity stuff but also for journals and fun things, so I learned a lot about how to make stuff look pretty there now!
Your final rant was hilarious and I get your point. However I can tell you one reason for the clock widget...I'm trying create a forex trading journal for myself and even though I have an app on my phone with the world times I really don't want to stop and go find it each time. So I intend to have a clock widget set to London time since I trade that session a lot. I guess eventually I will get better at knowing what time it is "across the pond," but I'm not there yet! 😂 Thanks for the tutorial!
Right before uploading an image for each project, you said, “It won’t show up.” Then, I got lost in how you upload the images!!! There is no sequence/steps to see how you loaded your images. Do you mind writing down in the comments section the steps to do so? Thanks!
The danger is that I have the kind of brain that will go down rabbitholes if I start thinking about aesthetics (I'm a graphic designer, btw). The question should always be: will aesthetics help me take more/better action? For me, the answer is no so my Notion setup is super minimal. Fortunately, I like minimalism aesthetically. I personally prefer the default font, for example.
Notion acts slightly different on phones annoyingly enough, which can make it difficult to set up all the databases, etc. I recommend building on a PC if possible :)
@@ProductiveSetups Thank you for reply! ☺, that's a great idea! I've been playing with it. I wanted to thank you from the heart (I wish it was from the wallet but I'm too broke atm), for your templates! It really helped me learn it better by deconstructing what you did with them. I immensely appreciate it. It made it so much more viable, and ready to use, instead if I had to try and build those by myself. Your patient work has sold the app to me, actually. I'll keep on watching the rest of your videos, and will donate when I can because I really appreciate what you do! 🍻
I don't have PC or laptop. I only have android phone & tablet. & I'm not satisfied with the calendar view on my tablet or phone... I like the calendar view on ur PC
The proper functionality should not be missing of course but there are different comprehension styles. Are you aware of that??? Not everyone thinks and learns the same. For me for example, looking at the extremely simple databases alone makes my brain fall asleep! I'm a visual learner so I need color coordination to separate tasks better and section them accordingly. That is much more time efficient for me then looking at black and white text all day. Love your videos but please stop being so rude about aesthetics lol. Just makes you look angry and ignorant for no real reason. take care.
@notionsetups for what it’s worth I didn’t find your comments regarding the clock rude in the slightest, in fact they put a smirk on my face whilst drumming home the incredibly valuable point about not adding unnecessary tut to your Notion templates (as I’m sure was intended). With that being said, I have an incredibly dry sense of humour, so it takes a lot to offend me in this regard.😉 Keep up the great work!
These are the best Notion videos of the internet.
dude you're waaaaaay underrated. wishing you all the views. thank you for sharing your approach to notion, it's all i was looking for!
appreciate it! :D

what a lovely message, thank you so much!
The most entertaining end to a video lol
The ending is THE BEST BAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! 👍 👍 🍻 🍻 🍻
The rant at the end😂
hahaha learned a lot here and YES, WHY THE F#*K A CLOCK? There's a limit between aesthetic interface and clotted interface.
Perfect video, thanks.
Appreciate it and thank you, clocks make no sense in Notion
How do you create the overly annoying flickering cursor animation
hahahah, it just wants to dance
Great video! I would really like to see some functionality tips as well, especially for students (not necessarily templates)
good to know! will do :D
Nice!

hahahha only true fans
5555 I love your VDO❤❤❤❤❤❤
It's quite frustrating trying to learn to do these things on Notion on Android phone, while watching you work on a PC.
