I am very happy to tell you that after 10 year experience we are developing a sustainable community. All the people in this community is nature lovers. This is an organic estate and community celebrating farm to table food
Nice Video! Excuse me for butting in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Elijahzan Ailment Solution Review (Have a quick look on google can't remember the place now)? It is an awesome one off guide for saving money with your own electricity supply minus the hard work. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my old buddy Taylor finally got great results with it.
Self reliance in a COLLABORATIVE environment is the only way to survive. We have permaculture, veganism, solar panels, composting toilets or biogas toilets which produces gas for cooking. Love is the energy that keeps everything running so it's time to share it!
Building sounds very dangerous to me that I was raised in a country that quickly turned into a concrete cemetery in the past 30 years (Italy). Converting existing buildings into self sustainable ones seems a much better prospect. However, you fail to face the biggest issues: Issue number 1 - this lifestyle is no longer sustainable and must be completely rethought. Issue number 2 - as long as there is money involved there will be corruption and people trying to take advantage of the situation. We urgently need to get rid of the debit and credit system which has brought us to this point and we definitely need to kiss the money system goodbye for good! If every person on this planet only took what they needed there wouldn't be any crisis nor poverty but abundance for all. There is enough for everybody's needs (animals and plants included) but not enough for everybody's greed (old Native American saying)!
I agree with you that as long as money is involved these type of projects will only get so far and will get corrupted eventually and ruined. That's why only in small pockets of already progressive countries and regions do we see developments like this. But, what do you mean "this lifestyle is no longer sustainable"? What lifestyle? The one most people currently live which is pretty disconnected and inefficient or the one presented here with self-sustainable eco-villages or neighbourhoods? One principle I really like that I take from this is localizing as much production of human needs (food, water, shelter, energy) and smart disposal or reuse of waste.
nice approach and surely realizable, maybe more difficult in cold regions. Of course, people still require money and need to work in the cities. But theoretically when a village grows and all kind of handicraftsmen are there such a village could be 100% self-sustaining
watipi greenhouses, soil barrels/GAHT systems, people even building their greenhouse to share a wall/heat space with their chicken coop...they have greenhouses that stay at 70F even when it gets freezing.
Something about this doesn't gel with me. Trying to turn grassroots community-driven initiatives based on humane and ecological principles into a corporate venture is likely doomed to fail and will likely only be accessible to a rich elite enclave of customers who can put down the capital and guarantee returns.
the depiction of the livestock/ animal hold indicates they don't understand regenerative farming. it's not about apps and sensors, it's about understanding the landscape and mimicking nature with various methods that are management intensive, ie , using knowledge and skills, not computer apps. I think it would work from every angle except the fact that they aren't actually mimicking ecosystems, they are just feeding and reusing waste materials in another form of factory farm.
From the getgo this seems like a ploy to get money from the very rich. Oh hey come live in this “self sustaining” community where it’s all peace and love and happiness and robots do all the work for you, oh yeah and just pay In $1,000,000 dollars to join.
"Plants can form a meaningful Space of Love for a person, if there are many of them. If they are different and a person communicates with them, touches them with Love. Together, they can create for a person a significant Space of Love, graciously affecting the Soul and healing the body" Anastasia "Ringing Cedars of Russia"
I love it all, but not all the silicone valley tech being used. I think a place like that could turn into a tech dystopia, like Facebook, Google and Amazon has given us. The tech nerds controlling how I live : (
This only solves the problems of housing and food security for the wealthy. Which means, while this is wonderful for converting people who can already support themselves and want to move in for an insulated, idyllic life, it’s not helpful for the vast majority of humanity. As these are built, third world countries will continue to burn unrenewables and people will still starve. We need to solve food and housing for the botttom 50% using open-source, low-cost and low-tech engineering. We won’t get out of this crisis flying on our privileges.
Couldn't have said it better myself! That said, studying these elite models, what works and what doesn't, what's the foundational cost and what's the added "luxuries", can help us start piecing together these open source, affordable, grassroots solutions. No harm in learning from others! BUT ultimately, if we truly want to build grassroots permaculture communities, we'll need both business and agri/craft expertise...but the priority needs to always come back to providing real, sustainable, material, not simply speculative, value. And the best sources to look to for expertise are just that--the ctual experts and master craftsmen of these fields. For example: agri/permaculture experts, city planners, sustainability architects, farmers, wood/metalworkers, renewable energy/energy efficiency engineers, etc. When we realign our priorities, we can build an abundant future that heals the earth and ourselves!
I just checked this out in May 2021, ..............seems they are still talking, no buildings, and still looking for funding, where have we heard that before ? Although I'd be happy to be proved wrong.
building below sea level when climate change is accelerating and sea levels are rising. maybe a location less precarious would be better?? Great idea though. I've wanted to live in an intentional community since 2000 and haven't been able to yet.
James, I would love to be part of your community. Would you consider a trade in the sustainable community where I live for one in your community. We are up and running. We are part of Buckys push to build the better model. I would love to help in the growth of your community.
6 years after this talk and 'Regen Villages' are still "in process of raising a Series-A round of investment to complete the software development that supports partners in planning pilot communities". Seems like a lot of hype so far!
It's okay. Learning another language is difficult. He's basically talking about how we should try to be more self-sufficient and live in smaller communities that grow all of their own food.
i think he is cheating his son -he will not want to live somwhere outside the center of cities and i dont understand at all how solar panels can changed that. Even today i know no village without elektricity....
I wish these videos got more views. This is a way to re-build our planet and our social ecosystems.

Congratulations and THANK YOU! Where in the world are u? Continued growth and success.
still my dream, to find people who want to create this on my land. Problem is, finding those people -(
MischievousKittie .. i’m so interesting to live in sustainable community.. 👍
where is your land?..develop a strong Vision, then enroll others.
yo Kittie I'm connected to a fair number of people into this stuff - send me a PM with what approximate location you're in ! maybe I can help.
I don't have much problem finding people it's land that is the hard part!

Poverty is there not by Chance but by Design.

@@coolioso808 exactly!
yes.. you are right on.
Sign me up!!! Seriously - we would jump at the chance of living in this type of community.
I'm planning this too, 109 acres of fertile land ready for an eco friendly community
Wow, what a creative way to co-opt a back to freedom and nature movement.

I dream and hold steady on the Loire Valley..lol . My Coaches tell me.. .Never Settle

Not so sure about the "need to work in cities" part. We have the internet.
I would love for Canada to be on this list!
Amazing! RegenVillages is the most resilient and regenerative housing model that exist nowadays in the planet.
Did you know that there is a working model of this that is already up and running producing tons of beyond organic food in Costa Rica?
Not sure of that..It's just the best spin yet...lol
Please come build on the west coast. Oregon! 🙏

Agreed
We need you in Australia.
Come to yucca az. That is a real challenge in Arizona
I can't help but ask if this could be incorporated into urban cities?

yes, what if you get mud on your Ipad farming?...lol. You need a few Robots to do the work, that's all.

Great talk..aligns with my Vision...where Do I sign?
Going eco friendly is way forward!
He should also have noted Jacque Fresco and The Venus Project

Good intention, however we must use our own senses, instead of harmful electronics
But is this economicly viable?
Please let this be a viable option for us all!
6 years after this talk and 'Regen Villages' are still "in process of raising a Series-A round of investment to complete the software development that supports partners in planning pilot communities". Seems like a lot of hype so far!
Now, to pull this off with people on fixed income, and with crippling student debt...There's a way.
..yes people with fixed limited mindsets.?.lol
This is what iceage farmer warns of. He mention R0ckef3llers. They are 3vil
Vaporware. There are still no villages 6 years later.
Anyone here in BC wanna build an intentional community?
I live in Ontario and have land in new Brunswick but I don't know where to find like-minded people.
We had time to be deliberate about this idea. Now, Corona Virus has forced us to this.
My english is weak i want to understand but am not getting it all
It's okay. Learning another language is difficult. He's basically talking about how we should try to be more self-sufficient and live in smaller communities that grow all of their own food.
Can we not just stop overpopulation, we definitely can, well eco village thing is amazing.
work goes much faster with Avasva plans.
Gee look, the World Economic Forum is a partner. I'm out....
ORGANIC doesn’t not mean pesticides free How about Labeling NO PESTICIDES USE,
You lost me at block chain.
So close, yet so far... Capitalism is the greatest obstacle, not part of the solution.
Blew it soon as he started with climate change and overpopulation bs and alarmism.
i think he is cheating his son -he will not want to live somwhere outside the center of cities and i dont understand at all how solar panels can changed that. Even today i know no village without elektricity....
Wonder what the cost is for all this per house.
