I wouldn't call it strange in this case. Neither of them speaks the other's native tongue, so Japanese is the only language they have in common right now. I'm sure they'll learn more of each other's native language as they live and grow together, but honestly I think it's a great example of how people can come together across the barriers of culture and language and find that we're really not actually any different from one another.

I liked this Korean vlogs, specially #3 and #4. I have to stop and appreciate two thing in this vlog, first the fact you left a little bit of that video narrated in English when you were in the Tower, that's a little bit of culture and that is always nice. And second the Alien statues in the village

I saw smth similar in a Korean variety show called 2 days and 1 night where the cast went to the closest point to North Korea but they were standing on a bridge looking towards the water it was pretty cool. hopefully someday in the future north and south will be able to come together again

How can they talk about these things in such an upbeat voice?? It does seem weird to have a tourist site where you can view North Korea...I guess visiting would be difficult especially if you were from South Korea. I was there last year. and yeah, I def. was shocked when my sis and I out could see north koreans through those telescope lenses. It still boggles my mind on how CLOSE they are to the south.

I already knew North Korea was bad but there was recent news about a guy who went to North Korea on a touring program or something and when they were about to leave to go back home, he got arrested on suspicions of stealing a poster or just taking it down. This was last year. He was finally able to come back to the States this year but he was in a vegetative state and in a coma. He had lots of brain injuries and etc., which the North Korean government claimed it was because the guy kept fainting during the hard labor. He eventually died.
