Damn man. Feeling it here too. It's the internet. Everyone goes to specific places. It's like the whole town gather to go on one street and everyone else is ignored. It's tough out here these days. I swear if your close enough and next year rolls around we will be there.
Well it’s also raining Edit: although I do get what your saying, everyone always comes to my neighborhood so we have to spend over a hundred dollars on candy for kids who don’t even live there, and some people park all along the streets and block us from getting to houses so we can actually trick or treat, not only that it’s always so hard to get into the neighborhood and people are always trick or treating very late when it will be a school night. The reason it’s hard to get in or out of the neighborhood is because cars block it so you can’t get food and you can’t order any, then people start trick or treating WAY too early, they start at 5 pm when your supposed to start at like 6 or 7 pm in my neighborhood.
I feel like that is a reason and either parents are too lazy to trick-or-treat with their kids or they just not feeling comfortable getting candy from strangers anymore because the world has gotten more dangerous. It sucks because when I was younger, all the streets were always packed with trick-or-treaters and I wish Halloween was like that still
Halloween was not Halloween this year. Yes, we went to our favorite spot to trick or treat (despite the mud). Yes, we did jack o lanterns. Yes, the kids had fun. Yet our festive neighborhood felt abandoned. It feels like the whole city went trunk or treating last weekend to avoid the nasty weather on Halloween. And the knowledge and feeling of too many things happened this year just squashed a lot of us. Too many uncertainties still loom. Too many things are left undone, unknown. And far, far too many goodbyes. The wet and gloomy weather reflected that in my town. Sorry for being gloomy 💔 I hope the last few weeks of the year are better for all.
