Thanks for the wonderful drive though the country side it was beautiful even though it was a little wet the tunnel wasn't bad because I could see the light at the end of the tunnel and do I just kept looking at the light at the end of the tunnel and I would NEVER EVER DO THAT IN THE DARK ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

And the westside of Indiana is a covered bridge festival and yes there's quite a few covered bridges in some areas they dressed in Period clothes and enact the life of the time I like going over there when they're baking fresh bread in the brick ovens

I went through that tunnel recently and if my husband hadn't been driving or if I'd been by myself I would have turned around. It was creepy.
Wow what a great drive, I so love rainy day drives. The area is amazing. Thank you for sharing it with us. I live at 7800 ft in The Sangre De Cristo mountains, part of the Rockies, we have a mountain nearby that has a mile drop, thin one lane road. Scary coming down, it has many twists and turns lol. It was built by inmates from a local prison way back when. One area is nothing but Aspens in a full fall glory of color. There is a Castle going up, hot baths, a skating pond. The Castle is called The Armand Hammer World college, it was run originally by Monks who traveled many miles from Mexico. The area is called Gallinas Canyon, attached to the Carson National forest. The movie the Evil was filmed there staring Richard Crenna. My Father was raised in the area, and the late Patrick Swayze had a ranch way up the mountain. Bet you would love a long drive up.

That was so beautiful there. The scenery was amazing. You both should make a trip up to where we are. North of us they had to blast through the rock to build the highway. In fact in some areas there are signs telling people that they were blasting in that area. If you hear 2 horn beeps you have to stop and wait till they finish blasting, which is normally just a few minutes. The colors are so beautiful this time of year. We have a train called Ontario Northland Railway. That trail takes you all over Northern Ontario. I went on that train alot back in the 80's and 90's. You both would love it. We have alot of mines and paper mills up north. There are mines that you can go in and get amethyst and Rose Quartz. I hope you both had an amazing time in KY.

If you like scenery and mountains should go to Harlem,Ky.Up in Appalachian mountains you can see bears,deer,cougars,mountain lions,black panthers all kinds of wildlife up there.Harlem is one of the poorest cities in Ky..

We went to the Mexican today too my ex misses had shrimp fajitas I had a burrito Gigante with all the trimmings and my daughter had some kind of chicken thing with french fries

That swimming pool at hemlock is very cold even in summer because it is spring feed from the mountains. A friend of mine jumped in with out taking a shower to get climated to the coldness of the water and almost drowned a man that was fully clothed had to go in and save her it takes your breath away.there is also a place there to rent paddle boats to go on the I guess you would call it a river. There's also canoes to rent to white water raft it's neat up in there. Lots of things to do. We always use to go and picnic up there. You can hike up to and go on natural bridge which shows like four state I think. The pool is not just for guest who stay at the hemlock Lodge it's for every one you have to pay to get in it. Back in the seventies it was like three dollars to go swim
Loved going on the adventure with you guys. The leaves are just beautiful. The tunnel was scary to me too glad Jim was driving.
You have to remember never uturn in the mountains unless it’s marked as turn around place. As those bushes are not bushes but tree tops

Love that area we visit some there there's a bridge called natural bridge. There is one that is named the same in Virginia or west Virginia but I think the last one is bigger than the one in ky

You need to do Brown County State Park in Indiana one fall all the colors big tower to go up then Trails horseback riding the park has a lot to offer when you're done with the park go up the road to the Middletown and there's quite a few buildings that are set up as museums and Gift Stores and restaurants in this that another they're soapmakers there's artist there is movie Stars moving around the area I've seen Darth Vader I've seen Superman I've seen Batman there in one year I even seen the Invisible Man yes he was wrapped in all his bandages and fully dressed in one of the buildings I remember seeing coffins with skeletons in it but as a Young Man growing up we would take a weekend to Brown County every year
