    Love the video Andrew. We need to get you out to the Renegade RV Classic/XL/Ikon line. I have a new 22 45CMR coming in April, I visited the factory during that construction phase they build a tough coach as well. I know the Semi nose isn’t for everyone but for the 500k a Classic costs it’s one hell of a MH.

      @@davefroman4700 a 55,000 pound coach with a 25,000 pound trailer weighs 80,000 pounds. Same as a semi. you simply choose how nice you want your living quarters to be. i bet a 45 foot renegade weighs the same as a 45 foot newell..

      Big issue between Cascadia tractor (as nice as it is) used for the Renegade and the Prevost/Newell product is purely in the ride quality (noise, bounce, etc). The interiors are not even in the same zip code either. Different market between the two types of rigs. We weigh in around 54,500 with full tanks, and the ATC stacker is rated at 20,000 lbs on the hitch. We assume 15,000 usually. So, depending on conditions just shy of 75,000 lbs. Wow, that matte + gloss+ carbonfiber is awesome! I agree, it screams "work hard and play hard". Yes, "The Newell" (for you RV history buffs) is the only Class A Body with a 25K hitch(new models). I've never carried more than 17K and that was HEAVY! I recommend both Shocker Hitch and GenY Boss TorqueFlex products depending on trailer size/weight and if its spread axle or not.

    This is great video explaining the quality of the structure of an RV. That is an extremely important quality needed for these type of vehicles since they are carrying so much weight. These vehicles have to improve the towing capacity as if it is a semi truck, especially if towing a stacker trailer. Stacker trailers are carrying more and are bigger.

    Stacker Trailers: Even with a matching paint job it is obvious that the trailer doesn't match the coach. Different size tires. Different height. Different width. Has Newell ever considered making trailers to go with their coaches? I would love to see a trailer that had matching wheels and tires. Air ride that floated with the coach. With all their in house abilities making a matching trailer should be simple for them to implement. As always Andrew, your videos are great! Thanks for all your efforts.

    I am so glad you made this video towing is the "see no evil, say no evil" of this industry. I was thinking about my rigs overall weight today why driving a ten hour day to the Keys, I am going to stop near Miami tomorrow at a Cat scale & weigh the overall on my XLII and my 22' stacker, I have never had this rig loaded down more than now and I can definitely feel the weight on this trip. I just installed a Shocker HD air bag receiver hitch and it has made a huge difference in the overall tongue weight feel I also installed new 365's last week as well as new trailer tires. I just want to make sure I am not near capacity, I come from a CDL driving background and I still catch myself pulling into scale houses w/ this combo, I would like someone to have content on the overall bus safety aspect/crash test data etc... At some point I could really see myself getting away from the coach plan and getting into a ShowHauler or Renegade w/ a OTR Tractor just for the safety aspect but hauling capacity ...keep up the great content, congratulations on the Newell

It was quite eye opening looking at that Cat weight receipt, I am right at the limits...this was with full bays, luggage, provisions, no wife or kids though. You don't have much payload left !
      Why is your coach so heavy ? I would have though mid 40K lbs.
      55K + 11K + 2K = 68,000 pounds. That's pretty heavy.

    • @notboeingnotgoing5483
      @notboeingnotgoing5483 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ it’s not a problem with not being able to haul it, it does that without any issues, but you can definitely feel the weight, especially when it’s loaded . As far as the overall length, the main issue is just with knowing your route, and definitely having a plan to where you can turn around. The length doesn’t really bother me on the highway because I’m used to coming from the semi truck world, but any of these coaches with a stacker behind them are a beast.

    On another note, as far as towing a bus conversion on a lowboy, would a single axle semi be sufficient or would a tandemn be preferable?

    This is why Newell take a notch over any other motorhome out there... They're willing to take the black and white approach. No gray area whatsoever.. You can say, the "other one" can do too but heck, no! You can sense the transparency by how this folks address all this stuff with a camera on..Open to the buying public. From the ground up..Pre-production.. Up to the delivery date.
    P.S. We just can't compare a Class C motorhome to a Class A because of their different structure and purpose. (Super) class C is an emerging segment. True, Renegade / Showhauler is head and shoulder above on their competition but this kind of class A's...with this kind of pedigree, prestige, luxury and refinement that take this coach to a whole new league of its own.

    That extra capacity hitch is nice and all, but unaware racers who want to pull their race cars in stacker trailers in anything longer than a overall 20 foot length (remember, American trailer mfr's don't add the hitch length in their sales brochures) which make a 20' stacker trailer measure up to 25' in length which combined with a Newell's 45' length, puts it over the legal combined limit of RV / trailer of 65' for a majority of states and the racer may find out the hard way at a DOT pop-up interstate checkpoint and do not have an over-length permit ($500-$600 EACH STATE annually)...
