He's not necessarily speaking for or defending the incoming President, he is simply answering the questions (no matter how dumb they sound) these two, rather skeptical if not pessimistic, newstv hosts throw on him in a sensible & intelligent manner. Buti na lang matalino sya and he can seem to "see" through their minds kung ano talaga nilalaman ng mga pag-iisip ng dalawang 'to. And he's apt to correct their subtle prejudice. A lot of these ideas were implemented by Lee Kuan Yew while starting the nation building for Singapore. These ideas worked well which turned Singapore from a mere trading post to a very succesfull port and financial hub in Asia.
But bear in mind that Singapore is an urban country unlike the Philippines na may rural (imagine the poor, far-flung communities) and urban areas. The former is like a city-like country while the latter is not.
Singapore used to be like few few years ago..It was just the discipline that made them who they are now. Big things come from small beginnings... :)

This was a very good interview . The host of the show ask the right questions and I learned more about Duterte's plan and strategy to run the government
