They're in a some kind of world ruled by a certain party constituting of women only. There was the development of those mics that are used for battles and if you want to fight, you need to be like good at rapping to defeat your opponents and (make solid points in dissing) as you can see. In the anime at least, they adapted the first part of the main story (analogy is like how only ! stories in enstars are in the anime). They also have other characters that aren't shown in the anime, the DJs for example, that are kinda as important as producers are in enstars. Also did you know that Jyuto (police) and Rio (military dude) share the same VAs as Akiomi's and Juri's respectively
