That is my friend Brent. My favorite shots of him are when he lifts up the front end while waving at the camera. LOL...he can indeed ride them wheelies and he is absolutely the nicest guy you'll ever meet. He's always smiling and having fun.
Great vid, I love the tunes and the wheelers! I don't live anywhere there are any dunes but to ride them sometime is on my bucket list! Looks like a blast!
@ heavy D - The singer is 5'9, 220 pds. He's a former 20 year long haul truck driver who left the road a couple of years back. In other words, we're old. LOL...We write and record all of the music for our dune vids and three of us are on our 40's. We have one young'n who just turned 30 that is the main sound engineer and guitarist as well. ~Marty
Sand Mountain Utah is another place that we have thought about planning an ATV trip around. The clip says that the main dunes can get up to 900 ft tall. Where we ride at Winchester Bay, the dunes can indeed get fairly large, but no where near 900 feet! LOL
From what I hear, Michigan has some stellar dunes, along with California, Idaho, Utah,Nevada and Arizona. I will say, I grew up riding dirt in the mountains. Loved it. But now that I am older, I don't miss the road rash when I lose control of my rig while cruising 30MPH and up. LOL. Sand hurts but not as bad as dirt, gravel, tree roots or rocks. It takes a certain caliber of rider to handle dirt in all terrain and I am no longer one of them. I'll leave that to the professionals. LOL
I couldn't agree more. I'm not against sxs but they doled them out like candy and every other person that hits the dunes don't fully understand the rules.
Pushing 103K views! Nice Marty! Good clips and music it deserves it! I enjoy all your videos. A lot of work putting them all together, and then to make the music as well...A+ ok I'm done lathering your balls LOL Jeff
Thanks, Jester. As for Idaho or Glamis. We're saving up for that trip as I type. Looks like both places would be fun (...and a bit scary...lol...) to ride. ~Marty
We wrote the song for GoPro helmet cams. It was used in a Ski commercial. But since we wrote it, recorded it and performed it, I figured it would work for one of our cheesy dune riding vidoes as well. LOL ~Marty
Agreed. A banshee would definitely walk right out of that. My friend in the clip was riding a borrowed KFX700 Kawasaki (about 1/4 the power of a Banshee) and clowning around to see if he could indeed get it stuck in the flats...and he did. LOL
Heading down on the 5th? Hell, since that is the last day of dunefest, you might have the enitre place to yourself (which would be awesome). We'll be down there Wednesday the 1st and leaving on Sunday the 5th. Weather is looking good and I am on the jones. ~Marty
Only one of us in our group of riders are gifted enough to handle the two wheel vehicles with agility and his 2007 honda 450 took a dive the first day before we started filming this youtube clip. A Razor clipped him while he was jumping (...and we were spotting but couldn't get the guy in the Razor's attention to wave him off).
Never been riding in Idaho. Though, we might be going there this year. Depends on the cash flow. Not too mention, Idaho looks like fun but could be a bit overwhelming. We ride and have fun but Idaho seems like its for the advanced riders only. I guess we'll find out when and if we get there. LOL
@Pclears54 - The songs for all my dune vids are written and recorded by me and three of my friends. We're a song writing team (not a band) called "The Gab Session." The song can be found at (due to youtube not letting me give links, type this address into your url without using the spaces>>>) reverbnation. com / thegabsession

From what I have seen on youtube about Norway, you're aloud to ride ATV's on the street. I wish we could that instead of riding the sand dunes! LOL ~Marty
Oh maybe we will go somewhere else lol were just a couple canadian weekend warriors and I have a bummed wrist. Where would you recommend going for 3 or 4 days that's not to extreme?
Agreed....The helmet mentality has changed. At that time, a couple of people in our group chose not to where helmets. But after a couple of close calls, everyone sports a helmet these days. ~Marty
If it's a 2 stroke 350 banhee, it'll tear the dunes up. Also, I see 350 yamaha Warriors (4 strokes) on the dunes everywhere. So, I would have to say yes, a 350 will do just fine on the dunes. Hope this helps. (note - if you're talking about a 350 dirt bike, it'll also do just fine if you have a paddle tire)
That is my pal Brent and he is the most humble guy considering the fact that in my other youtube clips, he's riding wheelies one handed and waving at me as I film. If I could ride that well my ego would be out of control ...LOL. ~Marty
Depending on how much you weigh, the 250 EX might have a hard time out there. Oh, it would scoot around here and there but considering sand takes away 1/2 of your power because of the spinning of the tires, the 250EX might not do so well on the hills.
WHy the sand stay on the ground? im in canada and if i have the idea to drive in the sand the sand make a barrier lol like fog... and we wait like 5 minute
Should be ok. Considering a Kawasaki ksx250 can walk up banshee hill and V8 hill at Hauser with little trouble, the better 250ex should be fine, just get a run at it and turn down if you know you cant make it.
lol im 145 so ya porbubly not iv been looking into converting it into a 400 but the frames to small so i think ima stick to the dirt great video though
@garciaarmando12 - Though everyone should wear a helmet on the oregon dunes it is not a law. During dunefest, about 30% of the riders don't wear a helmet.. The sun is shining and myself included have been guilty of not sport'n the helmet. Then one day a sand-rail leaped over a dune without a spotter and damn near took me out.....I now always wear a helmet no matter what the weather conditions are.
Any of you wanna go see a beast dune video? Go check out Sandgoon1. That video is crazy and is short. Music is good as we'll. My dad made it a really good video you won't be disappointed! Btw nice video man!

The location is called Winchester Bay. It's part of the Oregon dunes, located on the Oregon coast, about 180 miles south of Portland.

The dunes are located in Winchester bay Oregon. It's part of a large mass of sand available for offroad dune riding called the Oregon dunes.
I miss this era of riding so much before we had all these SxSs now and back when it was quads bikes and buggys!
I couldn't agree more. I'm not against sxs but they doled them out like candy and every other person that hits the dunes don't fully understand the rules.

Wish we had dunes like that in Norway .
Gade 1000 :)
wow..i like this place where sands meet sea.. nice video Skrognoggin
@MrDirtbiker250r - Thanks for the compliment about the vidclip. Also, I agree...I am eager to get back to the dunes as well.
~Marty

~Marty
Thanks, Louis!
Thanks, Tate. I apreciate the nice comment.
~Marty
@TheBansheelover - I miss sandlake. Many fun days and nights there!
~Marty
That's awesome I hope me and my friend can make to Idaho this summer. You guys going there? Or been there?
The ATV's are ours but there are plenty of ATV rental companies in the area.
~Marty
Thanks! I apreciate the comment.
nothing beats a run through the sand............
agreed...dunefest can't come soon enough. Less than two weeks now. I am on the Jones. LOL

Oh sure, plenty of blasters ripping around. They do quite well in the sand.

good video man! thumbs up for our backyard! now lets try Idaho or Glamis ,,,,come ride with us! later the Jester!
Sure can. It takes a bit of practice to control the drift but most people catch on quickly.
That would be fun! Have to get a paddle tire and a free weekend!

Winchester bay is the best dunes in oregon ~ just an opinion. also im going back for spring break. and in feb i'm going to sand lake twice.
