Merry Christmas and much love to all! Thanks for 1,000,0000 views! Wow! Unfortunately, I was forced to remove the #1 (John Lewis) ad for copyright reasons. If you want to watch more, the 10 Best Christmas commercials of 2019 is out now! th-cam.com/video/e822ZV8Ww6Y/w-d-xo.html (remember to drop a like before going!)
@ Jake ~ how ridiculous, to deprive you of a clip, which was part of such a wonderful compilation. Well, anyway ... in my opinion, it is their loss to not be included in your tasteful presentation. Merry Christmas, and once again ... thank you!
I remember in my childhood, back in the 60s, Monterrey, Mexico, when it was Christmas season, on the radio (of course in Spanish), among commercials, they used to pass this story, as a real fact, very emotional, "then the soldiers from both saides began to sing a Christmas Carol and the war stopped at least for a moment for a Christmas hug". Merry Christmas and happy 2020 to you all.
Your 1914 ad brought a feeling of great Peace. This was a true happening. We are not of the world today. People have forgotten the meaning of real Christmas. Our family are all deceased. We are not old. My remaing brother lives far away but I have friends that make a new family . This is the meaning of Christmas. Thank you.
Sorry but it's not an ad for chocolate it's for a supermarket chain here in the UK called Sainsburys but the story is of the truce is very true. We do make some brilliant Christmas ad's in the UK.
As I write this there is only 16 days before we welcome our Blessed Christ into our hearts Please when you are celebrating your special day please take 10 minutes to stop and think of all those that are less fortunate than you. May I wish you and yours a very "Happy Christmas and a Peaceful and Prosperous New Year" where ever you are in this big wide world of ours. Best wishes from London England
The story of the Christmas Armistice gets me choked up every time. Even during humanity's darkest hour we always manage to find just that.. our humanity. Merry Christmas 2018 everyone.
Christmas is a magical time of year. Thanksgiving is for bringing family together. But in all seriousness, people should be treated with love and kindness EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR!!! Now the news is nothing but bad events/people. This needs to be changed. A random act of kindness should be included in every news program no matter how big or small. Behavior can be changed one person at a time! Let's get everyone involved and share the love.
The thing is the Sainsbury one about the soldiers actually happend. So while i did find the others touching, that one is what really brought tears to my eyes. English and Germen troops, two countries fighting eachother, were brought together. For that single, short, moment the war was forgotten, there were no enemies, no fighting. Only peace, new friends, and happiness. Though they had to leave this and go back to fighting, i can only imagine what it must have ment to them all. A lasting memory of when, for a short while, enemies joined hands in peace. This thought alone brings me both happiness and heartache.
I also wish it would happen more often, but like I wish in general it would happen everyday and we wouldn't have to have wars and fighting and we could all be united as one ❤❤❤
Yeah it would be nice if there was less war, but just think how fucked up this actually is. These people people had no reason to fight each other, other than some morons who think they're more important tell them to do so. They're just pieces on a chessboard that are being pushed around and sacrificed for the "greater good"
Jonarts CC Yup,I agree.I have seen good friends of mine screwed up to various levels because other people thought they had the right to hurt them.Whatever happened to live and let live? So what if a person is different or has different views on whatever. I have better things to do than get into unnecessary, useless fights over something that should be shared and brought to a good place for all to learn about. Misunderstandings would cease to exist. To bad people choose to be morons and have knee-jerk reactions instead of seeing how others are just as cool as they are in life. What do you think,my friend?
:') Like, I've only seen number ten and I'm already in tears. Nope, My eyes have welled up at number nine. Trying to hold back at number eight. ..didn't work.. Number seven, Aaw! Number six, *smiles* Number five/four, AAAW! I'm in tears again.. Number three...So many Emotions! *tears* Number two/one - And, it may be my family history in the military, but I can't stop crying...
The Sainsbury advert did happened during WWI. War was really stopped for Christmas. These adverts really hit home for me. This would be the first time I would be spending Christmas alone. Advance Merry Christmas to every one.
I have this downloaded and would show this to all our FILIPINO students this season. Merry Christmas and thanks for the compilation. Message like this that speaks of LOVE should be spread in the world.
Although I have no family and live alone, I sometimes wonder what it would be like to have a family. I have thought about this many many times before. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Christmas in my own way and on my own. I have enjoyed watching these type of adverts and they still make me wonder...👍
I honestly can't, these commercials point out a huge reason, aka spend time with family while they're still around! This is so sweet, all of them are great, keep up the great work too! This made a huge impact on the people who watched this! Christmas isn't about taking presents and all that, it's about spending time with family and friends, and give instead of being greedy. Merry Christmas and a happy New Years!
Yep. Those were some of the best I have ever seen on here. Thank you. My eyes are swollen from the tears. Shows me what the season is about. Merry Christmas to you all.
My favourite is the Sainsburys retelling of the Christmas Day truce/football match, just because it is based on real events. The soldiers in the trenches were not at all responsible for their predicament and were all like-minded young men placed into the situation by typically bloody-minded, arrogant politicians. Once Christmas day, and the friendly match, was over, all the participants were expected to return to killing one another or be shot for insubordination.
hindler -I totally a free with you about the Saintsbury chocolate. If you get the chance whatch the movie called joyeux noel other wise known as merry Christmas.
Spending time with my family and friends and remembering The past and to know that it's the birth of a wonderful wonderful baby boy called JESUS 👶😇if you believe in CHRIST like and comment...

And will you say "hmmmm....got that one wrong" when nothing happens in 2018.. or 2019...or 2020...etc., etc., etc.? Gonna give away all your worldly goods and any money you may have or are you just an itty bitty bit doubtful?
First I just want to thank you! These were all very special. This last one disguised as about giving, that was really about peace was my favorite. And something I really needed to see for myself and those here with me. I think you make a big difference with what you do here and I hope you always do things thar follow your heart as you clearly did here. ❄️🙏🏼❤️☮️
the best thing about christmas is the caring of other's and consideration, that brings back my faith in humanity. It's a shame that the same sharing and giving isn't all year round. This day and age people are becoming selfish and self absorbed in their appearance and social status instead of seeing themselves as beauty within. Maybe one day one day it will change, but then again I like to dream and I do believe in unicorns lol.
All are really good but the best greatest one's are number 2 & 1 & yep Number 2 was a real life event it really happened. Which is pritty amazing when you think about it. It's a shame they didn't just quit there & then end of war but thanking you for showing these moving adverts

@@eddavis9704 So they think they are the gods of war. And have to keep working on making sure their pawns aren't allowed to express their true selves. I would not want to be in their shoes when they meet their Maker.
Damn - it's hard to pick a favorite here - they're all so good, but the "Brother Come Home" and "A Lonely Teddy Bear" ads really got to me :-( So beautiful.
Number two almost brought me to tears, it's just amazing how Christmas can bring people together like that. My family barely does anything for Christmas anymore all We do is stay in our rooms and wait till it's over.
2 is my favorite...real story...love the story and the song...peace because God was in it...Know Jesus Know Peace...No Jesus No Peace...Simple and True.

My favourite remains the Chocolate ad with the Christmas Truce, based on the actual historical event that happened in WWI.
