For anyone wondering about the suppressed guns, sound suppressors were indeed around during WWI. The first truly successful suppressors were invented by Hiram P. Maxim in 1902 and were very popular with hunters and such. That being said, having suppressors in a WWI game wouldn't really take the realism away from the game, because they did exist back then.
why is it that so many games these days feel like giving us wallhacks? so boring to be able to see all enemies through walls and everything just because we spotted them for like a second some time earlier.
LonesomeSparrow yes agree... it's one thing crysis to explain this away through high tech binoculars and a heads up display in your helmet... but for this it should be a memory system... marking them should not update as they move it should stay in one spot and not update as they walk they walk around.
Just because it has a suppressor doesn't mean people won't hear it. Even modern silencers are shit, the only reason usually use them is to make the sound less deafening, but everyone can still hear it easily.

This game keeps trying to promote the fact they are "telling peoples' stories" in the single player, yet we have not seen any segments of through the German point of view. WW1 didn't have any bad guys, all the countries were pretty much fighting for the same reason more or less, the Germans of WW1 aren't the Nazi's of WW2, they are young boys like the brits fighting a war too big for any of them to understand. This game could have portrayed that, but instead dice probably thought their player base would be too dumb to come to that conclusion and did not want to face the backlash of playing a mission as the "bad guys" because years of WW2 shooters have taught us German=Bad. So like EVERY blockbuster shooter we've received in the past 2 decades, we are given only the view of the western worlds perspective of the fighting.

It is true that there weren't reliable silencers back then, but without the silenced gun there would be no point to the 'stealth mission.' And EA did mention that the game wasn't going to be entirely historically accurate, because it would take away from the whole Battlefield experience.

Because some Afro-Germans did serve in the German army during WWI, and we can't also forget the Schutztruppe, German East African troops who fought in the African theater of WWI, so theoretically, it did happen, and you can't deny that fact.

For some reasons the devs gone mad and made all the soldiers black, no joke i know africans fought in WW1, but THEY didnt made the ENTIRE ARMY. The german soldier may come form one of the garman african colonies form east or south africa and other samller regions.
Even if we ignore the fact that silenced shots in this game are way too silent for realism, it is still inexplicable how the enemies can't hear a casing falling out of your gun when you rechamber after a shot, but they can hear a casing falling when you throw it the other way.
Can you please do this misson but test the AI. For example: walk up close behind and see what the reaction time/ threshold is? Crouch walk past them instead of run and see if they hear you at different distances? I'm really looking forward to this game!

If there were any suppressors back then, they were not nearly as good at silencing as modern ones. Plus the rifles back then were full size rifles using full size cartridges that moved well over the sound barrier and were extremely loud.

This is a part of a missions where you get parts to repair a British tank. The title and thumbnail is misleading to an extent. The soldier you're playing as is a white British tankman named Edwards.
It shows the rifle with a suppressor on it, they did really terrible fact checking or just didn't give a shit when they designed this game I've also seen other trailers of it with you having a sub machine gun, although none were used in WW1.

Should've give it a time limit, like 2 to 5 seconds then it'll fade and will appear again if checked. You know how remembering works.
