    New Haven, Michigan - On June 25, 2020, one of Macomb County Sheriff's Office deputy was on patrol and noticed an apartment with smoke coming out of it. A man and three small children were standing outside and stated there was another woman and two additional children inside. Deputies entered several times to extinguish the flames but could not make it up to the second floor. However, the two deputies continued to extinguish the fire as the flames tried to grow. Several fire departments and EMS units arrived on scene within 14 minutes of the initial call. They were able to rescue the woman and two small children inside. The Sheriff's Office reports that no lives were lost during this fire.

    I was a firefighter for 5 years. I've never see a more pathetic group of firefighters in my life. Standing around yelling at one another and struggling to put on gear that should've been on upon arrival of a working fire with trapped victims. In Riverside County California I was on two fires with people trapped in my 5 years, we were inside within 45 seconds of arriving and actively searching for the victims. I'd be embarrassed to say that I work for this fire department. Pure incompetence.

      As a firefighter myself, the first 2 guys off that first arriving truck should’ve been masked up and with a ladder in hand ready to make emergency entry in under a minute. It’s just unreal that the deputies and police officers did most of the work...

      ‼️Also if you read the description NO ONE CALLED THE POLICE OR FIRE!! A police officer happened to be driving by and SAW THE FLAMES!! That idiot "father" didn't bother to call 911 or to yell for one of the neighbors to call 911!!!!! It was literally so bad the smoke was so thick there were flames on the ceiling and he didn't call 911. And he was acting really high and I really believe he was high on something and the mother probably was too and that's why he didn't call 911. Like wtf??? Even if he didn't have his cell phone on him he should have been yelling to the neighbors to call 911, sent one of the children that did escape to go to the neighbors and tell them to call. Also he didn't even bother to try to get his wife or kids out he just stood at the front door yelling for them every once in awhile. It took a while for the fire to get that bad. I'm just saying there's something really fishy going on with the adults here. The mother couldn't hear the smoke alarms?? Almost like she was too high or passed out already.

      MAD CZECH OUTDOORS as an ex-fireman for 32 years I have to defend that remark. How far was the closest station? Is it manned by paid firemen or is it a volunteer department? What kind of traffic was enroute, is it quitting time or mid-day? There are many factors that go into the response of a fire company that are not known. I can attest to this in several ways and no matter what there are reasons that are not taken into account in just making a very broad statement as is being made here. Before opening mouth know the facts!! That being said if it hadn’t been for the deputies going in repeatedly to extinguish the flames the difference here could have been much worse. Thanks go to them and the EMT that took charge of the child and put oxygen on that baby!!!

    • @jaytrock3217
      @jaytrock3217 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @32Fossil You know how the funds work right? Dispatch gets less money. Meaning slower times. Because system is over worked. Leads to delay of the dispatch knowing who and where to send once they get the call. Fire in some districts are working more then their zone because of cuts. So when dispatched sometimes you are further away. Depends on time of call. rush hour lots of accident calls. I can go on. Seems to me you know a lot about how funding works. Maybe you don't since you never worked in the field. I love overtime. Thank you for creating it for me vs actually having not to pay overtime if you are probably resourced. I was cop and then went became a Firemedic after my last tour in the army. Didn't want to be a cop anymore. Now I am glad I did.

None of them ever got around to putting the fire out! Nope, the cop went in like 5 times to extinguish the fire with what he had on hand. He had no special clothing to protect him from heat, and nothing to help him breathe either, yet he went in several times to try to keep the fire controlled until help arrived.

    • @ttrestle
      @ttrestle ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@Saranita79 - Thanks for reply. It’s a bit of a false dichotomy and strawman fallacy rolled into one statement though. Meaning-I never said anything about questioning whether or not firefighters were even going to show up, nor did I question whether they wanted to keep people safe. My comments were only about how they went about their job and had nothing to do with whether or not the job would take place at all.
      Also, just because a person/people are successful at accomplishing their job doesn’t mean they did the job well or can’t be critiqued in order to improve.
      My comment was about how they did their job yet you replied with at least they did their job. Do you see how you’re arguing a point that wasn’t brought up in the first place?
      I promise that I’m really not trying to be rude here at all. It’s just that about half of the U.S. argues/debates this way these days. Fallacies, false dichotomies, irony, hypocrisy, etc seems to be very common in America-particularly with reactionary demographics (e.g.- Trump supporters, etc.). It actually fascinates me as, when I’ve pointed out to family members (for example) that they are using a fallacy like a strawman, they tend to not understand what dallies are or that a fallacy even occurred. Part of me wants to find out if thinking this was is genetic as I’ve noticed that my brother, who’s an engineer, see’s the world in black and white, right and wrong, with no shades of grey. He is also a Christian and young earth creationist. Whereas, I study evolutionary biology and history, and see the world as nuance. We had the same mother and father, but when you look at our Ancestry DNA results, I’m mostly Norwegian (highly progressive society) and German and he’s mostly English and German. We had the exact same upbringing. I’m right handed and he’s left handed. It’s just fascinating that he constantly uses fallacious arguments, false dichotomies, and is unintentionally ironic and hypocritical, whereas I’m a skeptic and use the scientific method. He’s a conservative who rarely changes his mind, is a libertarian with very little empathy and I’m a progressive who is constantly trying to find new data to see if the way I think and behave can be improved. I’m just so fascinated by this issue.

    • @Saranita79
      @Saranita79 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ttrestle ok then…I’m a conservative Trump supporter and proud to be one. I’m also a Christian, my point was at least everyone got out safely. I do think they need more training for sure but thank goodness their best was good enough this time but they may not be so lucky next time. I do agree with you on that but these commentators are to busy hating on them to realize they still put their lives in danger and got it taken care of. Looking at the positive side of things is what we should all be doing, lifting each other up as Americans not putting each other down.

    • @ttrestle
      @ttrestle ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Saranita79 that’s really fascinating that you’re a Christian and Trump supporter who replied to my original comment using fallacious arguments and false dichotomies. You replied again with another strawman fallacy and a other false dichotomy. Never did I say that I didn’t appreciate them putting their lives in danger and I was clear in my reply to you that criticism is not the same thing as saying they shouldn’t be there or even that they did poorly on any other job. I literally replied to your reply saying that you obviously made a mistake doing this as you were arguing points that no one ever brought up and you were creating false dichotomies. I pointed out that this type of argument reply is typically used by poorly educated demographics such as conservatives who support Trump. It’s also used by religious conservatives. Without even knowing what your demographic was beforehand I was able to statistically guess that you were a conservative. You proved my point and I just find that to be really interesting.
      Instead of you teaching yourself what fallacies are and why they advertise an inability to argue/debate, and instead of looking up the specific example of a strawman fallacy, and instead of teaching yourself what a false dichotomy is, you basically admitted that you don’t know what these things are, don’t care, and you doubled down. This is exactly what a conservative reactionary would do.

      True. The one firefighter showed up after all the other ones and had to scream orders at his guys to get off their asses and speed up the process. They showed up 15 minutes late and werent even prepared once they arrived on scene. If it werent for the officers and the one firefighter trying to speed things up, this could have ended very differently. Also could have ended very differently if the fire would have caught up a bit faster. Everyone made it out safe in the end, but this could have been handled better by a lot of the fire fighters, especially the ones just standing around once they first got on scene to the point where the officers had to step up and do their jobs for them.
