Your videos always put a smile on my face. You do not take yourself too serious. I also appreciate your openness in discussing your thought process for working out your compositions. keep up the good work
Great video as always. I’m never sure if you realise what an amazing inspiration and educator you are? The small light rock that was holding the image together explained so much, as did the long exposure. Your channel always keeps its own identity when so many landscape channels seem to be morphing into one. Thank you.
Why I like this video: 1) You take many photos of a subject and don't mind sharing them with us. I take many shots of a subject, too, but I always feel a bit shy about confessing to this practice. When I grow up I want to be like you! 2) You show the importance of the little "rocks" that need to be in a picture to ensure the visibility of the leading line. 3) You dance around the issue of ideal shooting light and the time limits of a trip to an area impacting how, when, and what you shoot. This is a common issue for me. 4) You demonstrate a way to use filters I hadn't thought of before. 5) You have excellent taste in background music (and you post the credits). 6) You provide excellent discussions on the considerations of composition. Wow! I've so many thing sot say for just one video! Of course, this video is longer in duration than most of your postings. But it was worth every minute of watching! Thank you, once again.
Everywhere you go I can actually picture myself in the same place, taking the same shots. I watch a lot of photographic youtube videos and most of them have photos from far flung places that I know that I'll never get to visit. You are the every man photographer and I thank you for it.
Great video, love the humour as I can not help having a chuckle, ...ha The photos look great to me as I know I would struggle trying to find composition in that type of landscape.
Love the colours in your shots, Craig. I always find landscapes like that overwhelming and never sure where to start. So I could probably concentrate on colours and find something. Thanks for the inspiration. 👍👍 Two thumbs up.
Great vlog Craig, always love the bit of humor you are putting in it. You once again made some beautiful pictures. Just love the ones with the boulders. The scenery is also absolutely stunning.
If you ever get fed up with photography...... comedy could be the way forward ! 😂😂 ....... boring Sunday evening saved with a 17 min vlog from you....great stuff Craig, thanks. 👍🏻✌🏻
Thanks for this very inspirational video. I'll be visiting the Isle of Skye next week and planning to do landscape photography. As I'm from the flat (and maybe boring) Netherlands I think I can imagine that at first the new landscape can be so very overwhelmingly beautiful, that I don't know where to begin. The first few days I will be taking a few steps back and soak it all in. After that, with the inspiration I got from your video in mind, I'm sure I'll get home with some amazing photographs. Thanks.
Good encouragement when I see the moody images you were able to get! I would note your dry wit is a real treat in your videos - it has added to my enjoyment. Well done, sir.
Amazing how you can capture compositions. I live in NL which is the most eastern province in Canada and we have similar types of landscapes as this but how you managed to come up with the shot at 11:44 is amazing to me. I would walk into this scene and probably not see this composition. This is why I love watching your channel you make it seem effortless which I know it isn't but it makes me look at my local area and think there has to be shots everywhere around me I don't have to go to Iceland to take great landscape photos..... ;)
Glad to see your channel is finally getting the attention it deserves. From what I see, 30k seems to be the sweet spot where your subscribers really start to take off. Keep up the good work Craig 👍🏻
Awesome job, and thank you for taking the time to do it! I learn so much from your vlogs - you have a great "creative eye" - well done as always, and keep the vlogs coming as I'm always looking forward to the next.
fantastic images Craig, really like the opening ones , glad to see someone else struggling with the wet lands ... ankles are nothing , i was nearly up to my knees in the new forest last week ,,, :) the uk is sinking for sure ...
Craig, great vlog, love that part of the North West and thanks for some ideas on blue sky days. In Scotland are you kidding, blue sky and Scotland don’t go together.......
Great video thanks and enjoy your sense of humour. Recognise most of your locations including your first campsite at Ardmair which I have used a few times myself but can you share the second one - don't recognise that one Thanks
Thanks very much, Craig. Looked at all comments but stupidly forgot to look there. Looks promising great spot.. I haven't stayed there but was a site around there that closed down and this may be it reopened.
Hi Craig, what about the happy snappers. If like most amature snappers you are on holiday somewhere, you don't have time to wait about for best shot so most shots will be on automatic. It's not a bad thing, you still have to choose and compose so have you any guidelines for us. Dennis
dennis lockwood Dennis, it’s often about suiting your subjects to the light and conditions. Therefore you can shoot some subjects at midday. It’s something I have covered many times in my eGuides.
Great stuff Craig. The pano was great. Any tips on shooting panos would be awesome. Do you recommend using the special pano bracket (sorry don't know the correct name) cheers big fan
Stunning photos and in conditions you describe as not ideal! You captured the mood of these places beautifully. Certainly not post card photos - far from it :-)
Hello Craig, complaining about sunshine, don't you realize, most people do not know what sunshine is up there lol. As always I find your vlogs funny and entertaining. Don't worry, Scotland will soon be back to its old self, dreich and gloomy lol.

Bless you Craig! Thanks mate.
Paul Miguel Photography I’m sure I’ve put a reply saying how good you are, I know I mentioned you and a Simon Booth on Morten Hilmer's channel today.
Mark Harris very much appreciated Mark, thank you, It all helps. I like Morten too, he's just so chilled!

What a stunning location. The shots at the end are brilliant. Can‘t wait for part two!
Love your eye for shots. Just great.
Great video and like how you always get a great composition from what appears to be a difficult landscape scene, great water streaks too.

Excellent video as always.
You got some good shots there.
Are you using a filter for these shots and f so, which one? Pete
You ought to do an iPhone/hipstamatic only video sometime. Those images were excellent.
Stunning photos and in conditions you describe as not ideal! You captured the mood of these places beautifully. Certainly not post card photos - far from it :-)
Great stuff.
You appear to have the same sense of humour as me, great shots love the black and white shots. Keep the videos coming.
Lovely lanscapes up there... mmmm someday..... 🤪
