- In this video, I will be showing off a cool 2D powder and fluids physics simulation sandbox game I made with roblox! This game was originally just suppose to be a small project, but it has evolved into a fully functional roblox port of a falling sand game!

You have some of the best development content I’ve ever seen. The things you do are so impressive, how do you give the screengui’s physics? I’ve never seen it done before.
Why thank you. How do I do these physics in GUIs? Well if you know how to make grid-based games and you know the basics of cellular automaton, then it shouldn’t be too hard to do in roblox. The hardest part is trying to find a good method for drawing pixels to the GUI

@@shawermus I used BoatBomber’s GradientCanvas module to draw pixels to the screen

Amazing game ! I like powerbox games I have one on my phone, and it's really satisfying to play, also maybe a Bouton to control time speed ? Would be cool I think

I was wondering if you were possibly going to release the source code of this game under the GPL (Same license the powder toy uses), I'd love to see what the community would do with this game. The fact that you managed to essentially remake the powder toy inside of roblox is more than most larger roblox games have done. Genuinely extremely impressive.

the next version will be 1.11, and it’ll be out within a couple of days or a week. Can’t say for sure since it’s a pretty large update

@@NothingButTimelapses hmm, well there will be about 3 new elements, but the most interesting one I’ll mention will be an Acid Cloud. Basically rain cloud but drops acid instead

How do you make such good things in roblox? When I try it never turns out good.
Just keep practicing and experiencing and going at it and always try new things and you will get better.

I update the game now and then. Usually when I got bored or I get an idea. For example, I recently added the ambient temperature controller that can change how elements behave

Well, if you know how to operate modules (for a canvas), and you know the basics of cellular automaton, and just basic knowledge of scripting, then it wouldn’t be too hard to make something like this. Honestly the hardest part is just simply knowing the algorithm and how to execute it.
