    "If it's gonna be this cold, it needs to be snowing." I mean you just can't argue with that logic. I'm actually kinda sorta maybe thinking of working in Banff this winter. I worked in Jasper and that's how I paid for a lot of my travels years ago (born in Vancouver so I'm a dual).

    What a Kool van ! On my Ireland trip last year I almost rented one through spaceship van rentals. Rented a small hybrid SUV, bought camping equipment ...road tripped and camped throughout Ireland for nearly a month. Was totally epic :)
    On another note... I can't believe some of these comments. People, just enjoy the video and quit telling them what to do or how they should do things and such. You are not the boss of them.
    Peace thru luv * J

    My family is from Vancouver and I sister lives in Kelowna. I know u have seen gorgeous places all around the world, but Kelowna is a wonderful place in the summer, oh and B. C. fruit tastes like pure sunshine (in the summer) and this is a California transplant speaking. I eat as much fruit and berries as I can when I visit and even can fruit to take home! Have an awesome Canadian adventure Nate and Kara! - Katrina

    Ok Kara and Nate in one of my favorite parts of the world! 😍 Beautiful British Columbia! Excited to see the next episode from Kelowna.
    Fun fact - when you were on your way to kelowna, if you had continued on the Coquihalla highway you would have ended up in Kamloops which is where I grew up!

    Kara and Nate: I live in vancouver and am avid camper. I have had many rvs. The broken awning is why most rental agencies do not to rent rvs with awnings. They are about $1500 to replace. You have to be very careful to close them up in wind or heavy rain. Also the law requires thay you have winter tires April to Oct on the Coquhalla hwy. Did your rental company supply winter tires or at least advise you you needed them?

  • @hannahlangford936

    Beautiful! One thing: do you think it’d be possible to put the dates of the trip in each of the vlogs? So people planning to go places can get a better idea of the weather at that time?

    • @bellawitten3190
      @bellawitten3190 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hannah Langford google can tell u that , also if your planning on coming to Canada that is not reliable because it changes all the time . For example there were some flurries in september then it was reallh warm ( for Canadians) in october then on and off in November

Get some Tim bits and coffee for your drive, and enjoy some wine in Kelowna...and Banff - I hope the weather participates - it is absolutely beautiful there...

Please keep that in the enthusiasm and zest for life you have now in your later years and you'll be married forever! You are absolutely precious and may God Bless you as you travel the world! I can't wait for you to reach your goal of 100 countries!!!

    If the awning is out, always leave a slight tilt on one side so that rain can quickly run off and not overload it. Also if there is a chance of heavy winds or snow, put it in regardless.

    The ironic thing is prior to your visit in September BC had been in another protracted dry spell that helped produce the worst forest fire season in the province's history....we were desperately needing rain to help knock that down. As you discovered we also suffer the perpetually highest gas prices in the country, which is even worse when filling a large vehicle. Glad that you got to experience some snow though - even during the summer there can be some harsh weather such as that on the Coquihala Highway that links the Lower Mainland to the Okanagan.

      Rain in Vancouver. About 150 kms east, starting in the town of Hope, the Hwy begins climbing and you have your choice of 3 different routes north and/or east through 3 different mountain passes. Therefore rain at the coast equals snow in the mountains. Most of October was dry, so snow in the mountains was either none or minimal.

    You guys need to take you time. Lots to see before Banff. Enjoy and be safe. And no feet up on the dash. If the airbag ever inflated you might never walk again!

    Yess! I've been waiting for these VLOGs to start getting uploaded 😄 I really want to do something similar to this possibly in Iceland and I needed to see it done Kara and Nate style first!
