Professional and patient. That's how I would describe these two officers.

This intoxicated(=drunk) guy wasn`t extremely violent, just not pleased with life at that moment. (nice policemen!)

If only I could read the small subtitles. Genius.

I'm from Sweden but I've seen (a long time ago though) about different police squads in Europe, an episode where the Finnish police - about 2 m tall both of them - had to deal with a domestic disturbance caused by heavy alcohol intake. They where so gentle, calm and tactful. I remember I got really warm inside 🥰

They took him to a psychiatric ward, that have temporary room/"cells" for people like this who could be a danger to himself and others, so yes they took him to a hospital. Usually to be held there for max 24h.

Nei, det var legevakta. Fast prosedyre for å sjekke at han kan tilbringe natten alene uten fare for livet. Noen ganger er det helsemessige årsaker som bidrar til oppførselen.

They didn't. They brought him to the emergency room for a check up to see if his blood alcohol lvl requires medical attention. It's standard procedure. When he is cleared they brought him to the station to be held overnight. Idk why you think policemen are the ones to put ppl in cels in psychiatry wards in the first place. Or why you think drunk ppl get institutionnalised in first place

Norwegian police has alot of education. Most people get checked in hostpitales before getting locked in to sleep it of, so that they know they will be ok. If there is something wrong he will stay at the hostpitale for the night to sleep it of.

American police could learn a thing or two from this.

I used to work in prison, four actually. But as a teacher. I had some people, inmates, that could get agressive....but most of the time it's better to not answer agression with more agression. :) I also spent a nigth n jail here in Norway, in my early 20's. Like 30 years ago. After punching trough a wall and trhowing a police officer over the hood of a car. If that had been in the US I would probaly been shot. :D

"What I want from you now, is to stop kicking. Can you promise me that?" "Yes, I promise......In Jesu's name. Amen". He kept his promise 😇

The translation is not the best, not all things are translated either. At the hospital he is saying is she brain dead, not heart dead.
Things that get’s lost for foreigners maybe:
the guy is from Lofoten and they have a colorful language up north. Cursing is a huge part of their every day speech :) even horse co*k is not considered cursing if you are from up north😅.
Also the guy saw the blanket (carpet) in the end before he went in to his «cell» in the mental hospital and bent down to say allah allah as pretending that it was a prayer carpet or something. So absurd😂.
