The history and the development of the piano has gone through centuries of human civilization, but when was the actual piano invented? livingpianos.com/piano-histor...
All the "invention of the piano" video's I am seeing neglect to mention that although early Hammer Claviers and Clavichords were very soft, they also had keys that initiated striking of strings with a tangent, or a leather covered hammer and had been extant since the late 1500's and earlier for the clavichord, and could be played very very softly or soft medium.. Also no mention is made of early piano developer save Cristofori. i believe it was Silberman, (in northern europe) who improved or invented the escapement, and compound action for accellerating the hammers in the early-ish 1700's.
Hi Robert! I wear watches all the time on my wrist. It may sound silly, but do wristwatches affect piano playing? Should I take it off when practicing?
Take it from someone who has taught and coached thousands of kids; there are many things that children should be forced to do. If you don't believe that, don't ever become a parent. @@katiegrundle9900
Look up Renaissance and Baroque music like Sweelinck or Bach's works for harpsichord! I highly recommend listening to the Well-Tempered Clavier Book 1 and 2.
Christopher Bartholomew deserves to keep the title as the inventor of The first PIANO-FORTE in 1700. Just like Anthonio Sax the inventor of the first Saxophone which wasn't called Alto, Tenor or Baritone.
yes, i consider the piano a piaonforte. if its just piano, then it cant get loud. we have to respect the invertor and for sure the first player of this wonderful instrument
Very tangential comment here... I can understand why, from a production point of view, but I think it's too bad you don't play your "Living Pianos Variations" on camera any more. =(
Hehehe I was right in commenting in other of ur video that I don't particularly like the sound of Chopin original piano do prefer sound for Chopin compositions Steinway of 1950s.. It's so sad to consider that great geniuses like Beethoven never lived long enough to see what pianos would become! 💔
So could we say that the piano was a natural evolution of the harpsichord?
No it’s a separate instrument. They coexisted for a while in the 18th century and everyone thought of them as different instruments
@@Ekvitariusyes but the subsequent death of the harpsichord would suggest otherwise?
Yes, they're separate instruments, but also 'yes' the harpsichord was the lodestone for the piano, and a definite stage of its evolution.@@Ekvitarius
Entertaining and educational. Thanks

Nice job with this. I like your happy tone of voice as well. Really makes the video pleasant to watch.

Thank you.

Hello how do you notice the differences in pianos

Good video.
the same with the guitar
this was evolving until the Spanish guitar came
with your deep sound and was the standard
Why doesn’t this have millions of view?
Hii
Can you tell me what is the name of the intro song??
I think it is just a random arpeggio followed by a chord.
Hi Robert! I wear watches all the time on my wrist. It may sound silly, but do wristwatches affect piano playing? Should I take it off when practicing?
You're right, it does sound silly.
I do

Look at your fucking name mate, do you even know what planet we live on?
Nice rug bro
BTW they now make Pianos w/ 20 More Keys than our 88 Key Pianos, the 108 Key Piano
I doubt if Van Cliburn would say, 'Oh darn, what I could have done with 20 more keys,'
That's why the harp and Piano sounds somewhat the same to me
You need to get your ears cleaned out.
even guitar?? is string too
As you know, pianos are very common today and they are the main instrument in the instrument family, today.
my dad made me watch this for a documentary summary lol
That's evil

I wonder what it sounded like when they played their music before modern pianos.

The first keyboards had keys of all the same size and colour, so when was the first keyboard that had black and white keys invented - and by who?
Good question.
It is i the man who made paint😂
I really love this instrument... unfortunately I can’t even afford a digital piano now :/

Yes, only I'm certain he was never referenced as Christopher Bartholmew, particularly due to Cristofori being his surname.
