We have the ancient wooden bandsmen, no two decorations are the same, no wasted space. I was thinking the same! Lol where I live they probably wouldn't even let you on the bus with a tree, but maybe it's more common in areas where less people drive or have cars.
I have delivered a fair share of Christmas trees home on the bus through the years :) Sometimes they were so tall, that could hardly fit under the roof.
My Christmas tree has ornaments dating back to the 70s from my grandma and when my mom was younger. I love the look of aesthetic color coordinated trees but I love the nostalgia of the handmade ones from when I was a kid and the Hallmark ornaments I get each year. I also collect them from every trip I go on, lots of Disney ones. I vow to never have a matchy matchy tree. I like personality and spark!

Lol my boyfriend and I are usually terrible with decorating our tree! One year, I found some massive googly eyes, so we put them on the tree with a top hat, and that was it 😂😂 another year, Mum came over a week before christmas and was shocked that we only had the tree, with NO decorations on it, so she decorated it! 16:45 those figurines are traditionally German Christmas decorations and done in German folk art. (It's art, ok? 😂😂) They originate in the ore mountains (erzgebirge). Decorating a tree inside a house is a German tradition from the black forest. I am guessing parts of decorating a tree were taken over too. Another Christmas tree thing: in Germany ( or at least where I live) you can't buy Christmas trees until around the 10/11th of December. And it wasn't unusual for me as a kid that some friends didn't see their tree until the 24th. And the Christmas topper is put up on the day you open presents: the 24th dec. Whitehall Garden Centre has two centres, one near Trowbridge, Wiltshire, and one on the outskirts of Bristol, near me. Their bauble collection is INCREDIBLE. I took my daughter to meet Father Christmas there, last year, and I must have spent a good hour just looking at (and spent a fair few pennies on) some beautiful decorations.
I used to have some of those wooden decorations to use on a mini tree. I actually bought them second hand at a charity Christmas fair but I couldn't decide if they were cute and vintage looking or just plain scary hahaha

We are moving out the week before Christmas, and now i want to go shopping for Christmas tree decorations after watching this 😂 Our first tree in our new house 😍
This year all rules are out the window. My local WhatsApp neighbourhood group agreed we would all put lights in our windows early this year to cheer us all up. So on the 20th of November most of us put some up and I have to say I have never seen so many lights before and it really does cheer us all up. When I was putting mine up I heard a noise and looked outside to see two little girls waving at me looking so excited and they shouted "We love your lights" and it made all the effort wortwhile to see the excitement on their faces. Would normally not put my lights up until around the 8th of December. Your tree looks amazing Lucy. Just like a proper xmas tree should look. I l♡ve it! Still hate that cheetah though 😕
Yes to breakfast hash! I put kale or spinach in as well door token green & a bit of grated cheese. I'm growing my hair to donate it for wig making so can agree with 'the nest' I have to throw my hair over the back of my pillow when I sleep otherwise I throttle myself and end up with a bigger all-over nest

The nest is so relatable. It’s one of the main reasons I just chopped about 8inches off my hair and got it thinned out lol.
