You guys are some solid hands! Made for a fast night making connections before the top drives came out. Ask your Driller if he can m/u tools with the cat line or air hoist like our mourning tours in the 90's! Keep it turning to the right. Thanks for your showing us your rig.
Yep, done that a bunch in the 80s! Wasn't unreal to drill 800 to 1000' feet in 8hr shift after drilling cement out of surface and shoe! It was fast hole city for about 5000 to 6500 when we changed from Rock bit to a button bit, then it would slow down! Drilled alot of 8500 to 10,000' holes in around 2 weeks from rig up to rig down in NW Oklahoma! United Drilling Rig 4 !
Are there really any true roughneck men still working. Working? If you pee on iron, it will rust. But if the heart is there, the hand shines through. They stopped work in the 1950s, maybe even earlier. Steel Derrick took over there, and it went portable. Steel sharpens steel, 😊and the wood is in the fire.

Adding sections into a drill stem. Wells are generally drilled with long pipes, added in in modular sections as the go deeper. Roughneck's general purpose in life is to disconnect, add the new stem, reconnect as fast as possible to get the drill head back down and turning.....
Was a driller in Alberta land name a Slammer Sam struck fear in the hearts of roughnecks slamming steel and brakes would squeal if you worked hard and fast you might last with Slammer Sam Ruptash
Far from world's fastest..I know all about that worm...I can make a one man connection in half the time on the same kinda rig..thanks for the laugh..needed it while I'm poopin
I’m not impressed, put them in the backyard with me on rig move...la de da, regular operations do not mean shit, lets see how good u r when u get back on bottom and u take 30bbl gain and while shut in circulating that out you got 9000 units while on the gas buster then 💥 lose 100 bbls just like that. Y’all arnt impressive. What’s impressive is catching a kick on a 2 bbl gain bcuz u know the formation so well u know what will do bfor it does.
Hahahaha they do this for every 30 feet of pipe and some oil wells bottom out at 20000ft, just think about how many times they need to do this. They know what theyre doing and im sure they have it down pat, besides, talking would prob just waste more time

LMAO son what do I know about that I know everything about that I know that 90 seconds is the average for connection time so congratulations on being average I've done it a lot faster
Pretty disrespectful to call these guys scrubs, you should have respect for men who work hard risking their lives so you can use your computer made from petroleum products. The guy working his guts out probably brings home as much money as you and has the chance to work his way to driller or rig operator then consultant bringing home roughly 2k a day. A man that works that hard at work probably works that hard on his family. More than I can say for a guy like yourself .sgtstedankoclown any man who disrespects another man for hard work is a POS!, especially while consuming products these men produce. I would love to meet up and educate you 😅.
@@jakesvideos8204 yaawwwwnnnn. Cry more. Don't care. And no, they will never make as much breaking their backs. Later in life they spend it all fixing what they broke at the doctor. Not impressed. Some rigs a better than others. I worked on a cardwell that was like dancing and a national that was like boxing 8 rounds.

I worked the fields when the derricks were made of wood and the men made of iron.
Bullshit
Now the rigs are made of iron and the men are made from wood

No one else wonder why they have a Jake break on a rig?
*brake
Yeah same
any crew doing it in 59 seconds is a good crew , that's on the geolograph from lifting the bit to back to drilling , that don't lie.

Drilling rigs are cool
More normal than fast.
Ok worm hand. Your tough lmao
Awesome. But why did the chain/motor man let go of the spinning chain?
That was a good hook

That chain, imagine oil companies giving so little fks bout their workers, sad thing what ppl do for money.
I just wanna why it takes three hands to pull slips nd only one driller to pull the whole string lol hands....... good job hands

Converted work over unit ! World fastest most certainly not !!

Robots are coming but there's obviously still men "makin' hole" with this old iron.
