I saw part two then came over here to watch part one. Thank you for all the helpful tips. I think it is easier to group the icon and circle together and then duplicate the sticker.

I've been making icon stickers in MS Word. The only thing I saw that it doesn't do is the automatic positioning. I have to position manually, but if you get the first icon perfect, copying it to make a row, and then copying the row into a sheet it's very easy. I print my stickers in black/white, but my icons are color... I like the grey shading the different colors bring to the stickers. (My stickers are a bit bigger 3/4 x 3/4"). But I like simple designs as well. Instead of a girl sweeping, I now use just the broom and just a mop. I cut my stickers by hand... Although it takes longer than pre-cuts, it's relaxing. 💖🌞🌵😷

Thank you! Thank you! I just need the tutorial on how to cut with the circut. I agree with CarlaMarieV, any chance for a part 2?

I've been using icon stickers for a while now and don't know how long I'm going to continue. I use them in a time line. Some times I make a notation next to the icon (phone icon and in handwriting, who I spoke, time and subject, etc.) Then I draw a box around both, making one big "sticker". What's frustrating is going through the stack of stickers trying to find the one I want. I'm using an old accordion coupon folder for organizing. So there's a dozen categories, but there's still shifting through all the stickers to find the one I want. One way I got around this is... Printing the icons in routines... Laundry for example... There's an icon for each of these, washer, dryer, basket, folding, I even found an icon with a lady putting clothes in a dresser. The icons are arranged in rows. I cut off (just the stickers, so all the backing sheets stay the same size... Easier sorting) a row of stickers and attach to an empty sticker backing and clip to today's page. It reminds me that I need to move clothes to the dryer or if there's a load in my dressing room ready to put away. ... This also helps me pin point flaws in my routine. For example, my kitchen routine has a broom, so I can sweep the floor each night. It hasn't happened, so I have a collection of broom stickers. So I need to figure out where to move the broom so I can get it done. It could be that it needs to be on a weekly routine instead of a daily. 💖🌞🌵😷

Another way to make the icons is to make one inside the circle, group it, then duplicate the whole icon. I use a Silhouette so I only make one, then duplicate within the Silhouette after adding the cutline and grouping the cutline to my icon.

I don't think you can make a document at a certain size if you have a free canva account. But I assume you can do the same on an existing size and then maybe you can divide the page in to two of the same sections of business card size.
Also, I have a silhouette, so I don't know what kind of document the cricut needs, but you can download the silhouette software for free and you have way more options to make your design then you do on canva. There is a bit of a learning curve, but there are awesome tutorials on TH-cam. I just don't know wat type of document you need, so you might have to go for a paid version of silhouette studio so you can save it in the right format.
Btw, thanks for the video, I learned a lot from you since I discovered your channel. I was thinking of making my own stickers as well, but I haven't determined my exact need as I am pretty new to the whole planning thing

You can create a custom size document with the free Canva account. Just go to create and custom size to enter your dimensions

I haven't got a Cricut machine. Do you sell your icon stickers?

    • @PlanningAnnie

Hi Jane. No, I do not sell stickers. There are shops you can buy these smaller icon stickers, like Sweet Freckled Designs and The Planner Spot.
