Atif sings in every genre. When he came in 2003 he started with rock music. Then around 2007 he went to india and sang bollywood filmi style songs. Then he came back to Pakistan sang pop again some classical religious songs, qawali as well. Then now he started rapping n hiphop, electronic and now this song. Atif Aslam is complete package, complete singer
He isn’t rebranding it’s just you only listened to his more of a classical or spiritual side. He has songs covering wide genres.
His music can be heard in any mood. Atif aslam is the best ❤️

I just observed you didn't hear much of Atif songs being it either solo or comparison of singer videos. And they nothing compared to his original songs. It didn't give justice to his work. You should listen to all Atif songs. He is the best. You will definitely love his all songs just how you loved this song.

If I am not mistaken, in the subcontinent, we actually appreciate people trying different styles if they are good at it… we don’t necessarily call it rebranding, we prefer the term versatile and the more versatile you are, the more appreciated you are

Also, Thank you, Justin, for Lata's tribute video. It was one of my favourite videos on this channel, perhaps the favourite emotionally because she is no more.
I think the template for the video was a good one for covering old songs of legends because their live videos tend to have horrible acoustics. You should use that template going forward for similar singers.
I request you to cover Mohammed Rafi and Manna Dey in future videos similarly. Manna Dey was technically the best singer of Indian Bollywood legends. Mohammed Rafi used excellent dynamics. I am sure there will be points of interest and something to learn for all.

Atif actually started with the pop rock band 'Jal' & got really popular later singing romantic bollywood songs. The sufi/spiritual songs you have heard him doing is more of a coke studio thing.
