- This boxing padwork demonstration along with all of the other videos that we produce are designed with the intention of aiding the fighter towards improvement in their performance. The goal is to provide the viewer with drills which can be incorporated directly into their training, or take bits and pieces of the info and create a style that suits your own needs and abilities.
Every move in the fight game provides a potential counter attempt for the opponent, or an opening for your next attack. The left hook is no different. So, in this boxing instructional multi part video series, Coach Tom Yankello will break down several options for countering the left hook that you may want to incorporate into your training, sparring and ultimately the competition! Tom im 25 and started geting really into boxing a year ago. I love your videos because i know the truth when i hear the truth. These videos have great knolodge and many of these men in Texas are teaching bad fundamentals.

Great teaching and excellent application shown by ur student...There are so many points here that are Gold...I Love that you are teaching same hand returns as well as opposite hand returns..Both are valid and both have their application depending on what you want to achieve..

Coach - Thanks for teaching this defensive technique as it should be done! So many trainers have their fighters raise the right elbow, leaving them open for that dreaded liver shot.

My guess is that coach probably studied a ton of boxing films. It takes so much time and effort and scrutinize those movements and be able to teach them in this level of practicality. Love this channel.

The problem always is, in a real fight or match, you don’t get a script when it’s the real deal. I hardly ever see fighters that want to commit to the “counter”. But when they do, it’s greatness in the making.
