The Lord of Chaos [OSRS Perspective]

- Zamorak is the most infamous God in RuneScape, typically associated with pure evil. But if he espouses evil, why would he have supporters and followers? In this video, we take a look at the origins, rise, and current whereabouts of the Lord of Chaos.
This video took me way more hours to make than you would believe, and was a major step up from my Guthix lore video in terms of editing (and effort). Some of the pictures, I ask that you use a bit of "suspension of disbelief," because some are rs3, some are AI generated that I spent hours tweaking to the best of my ability, and some aren't even truly RuneScape related, but hopefully it weaves a story in your mind. I worked very hard.
This is the second installment of my God Lore series - subscribe for more, because the explosion of views on the Guthix video (and lovely comments) really helped push me through the more than 100 hours it took to create this video, all by myself. OSRS/runescape lore is so under-represented on youtube, especially with such a high production value. we need more of those vids please!
Under represented in the game itself..
I feel like if you didn't read all the quest dialogues in runescape your really missing out on how runescape truly will feel to play when you know about the whole of gielinors world building it is absolutely amazing now to be fair alot of quests give dumb stories but it ties together with the world regardless.

Thanks for the lore. I was always under the impression that Zaros had been weakened before Zamorak got him, and pictured it like the animated Transformers movie where Starscream dumped megatron so he could become ruler.
He was perhaps mentally weakened because of his internal conflict about Tumeken’s sacrifice, but as far as his physical power went, he was as strong as ever

amazing work here, and I can't wait for your deep dive into Zaros. I think he's often misrepresented as being horrific and evil. in truth though, cold as he was, Zaros had seen the Elder Gods, and knew their truth, that they only bred life in the universe to eventually destroy as a way to harvest energy for their offspring. His reason for wanting to be as powerful as an Elder God was to stop them from wiping mortal life out, and unlike any other gods, he believed they had a right to know the Elder Gods' plan. he didn't really care about social equality, just social organization so that mortals could organize without any other gods. I think that it's easy to sympathize with his thought, even if it went tragically wrong in many ways.

Thankfully this time around pretty much all of this is Canon, except MAYBE Mah has never been mentioned in OSRS. This one’s pretty much confirmed unlike some of the Guthix video! Woot!

I've been diving into the runescape lore a lot lately and it's really so amazing to discover this vast world that was hiding right beneath our eyes all this time. With every video and book, more pieces fall into place, and i'm almot starting to think this has as much depth as the other great game universes i love so much.
I've even started reading the books and re-doing quests in-game while paying closer attention to the dialogue and everything just makes so much more sense now... and it's all thanks to you and all the other amazing content creators presenting us with the lore we struggle to connect and make sense of on our own.
You did a great job with the video! Keep up the good work, it's really appreciated and i'm sure it'll help to pull a lot of lore enthusiasts like myself into really discovering the depths of the runescape universe!~

Amazing video! I always loved RS lore and there is a lot of it that people don't really know (spacebar warriors), it goes to show that even this low polygon game can have stories just as good as the other high end games out there.

will be interesting to see how much of the RS3 lore OSRS will adopt, the team over at OSRS seems to be taking some creative freedoms changing certain encounters bit by bit. Which is fine, considering that both games are headed their own ways in terms of lore
I was a little uncertain about that with the Guthix video, but I’m pretty confident that almost all of this is canon in OSRS. I included a few quest references to help keep it grounded, talked about Skotizo etc. I’m excited too man!

Fantastic work!! It's great to see so much attention to detail constructing a timeline like this; even down to the "why" and "how" that led to a violent God of Chaos being worshipped in Gielenor.
A quick critique, I think the music was a little loud when describing Zamorak's Rebellion -- might tone it down in the next video so we can still hear your narration.

Mr. Felon, I really enjoyed your video and all the effort you put into it certainly shows. Your storytelling was so good, that at some point I put down my phone and just listened. I feel as though someone that can craft such a well thought through script that guides an audience has a deep desire and appreciation for finding completeness and answers in this weird place.
