listening to this 14 years after its release with tears streaming down my face. So thankful I got to grow up listening to and loving their music as much as I did. Just as good now in 2020. Thank you Bloc Party.
There's a lot of acoustic science to account for this. The back half of the audience is hearing the sound at a delay, because the speakers are set to delay the sound to account for visuals, because sound takes longer than light to reach the same source. So, half the audience is clapping a millisecond late, and the other half is clapping either on time or slightly early, and they try to sync up with one another because they have a deeper relationship with other audience members than they do the band. Look up "Huygens Phenomenon" if you're curious to learn more. There's some crazy reasons why oscillations synchronize.
Of course the studio version is gonna be better but i dont know why people don’t like this performance specifically not liking Gordon in this performance but it’s what a live performance for a song like pioneers should sound like
the whole silent alarms album is the best of the best.
Here after Dark season 3, becase this sound is amazing.
Same
The question isn't why but when
SAME! I love

Wow you can really feel the energy of this show
So here we are reinventing the wheel I'm shaking hands with a hurricane. It's a color that I can't describe it's a language I don't understand
'It's all under contwol! It's all under contwol!'
I would give everything in my life just to be in that moment right now
I love this song! To much! It really makes me feel alive (when I'm singing it)!
We were there. GREAT!.

Russell. Is. Amazing.
I've never heard a crowd that can clap on time
I wish they would play this live nowadays. I don't want to be jealous and bitter of crowds like this forever.
No one:
Matt and Gordy: AHHHHHHH AHHHH A.
At least Matt was good
@@MpanzuSolos Gordon was good too
@@kryton0289 not his singing
@@MpanzuSolos he was probably just hyped up I mean it is an intense song

Gordon: *eats microphone
I'm legitimately angry about how hard the crowd was struggling to stay on beat in the very beginning... -_-

Is Gordon even trying to sing? I love Bloc Party but I cringe sometimes when Gordon opens his mouth. SRY I just need to put it out there.
