I would love to say that your AMBITION is remarkable. So nice to see a young man using his skills to better himself this day and age you don't see that. I'm proud of you. You remind me of my boy Dylan who is 21 now. Better than following people who think that a career is you tube . It's a platform to show your real success. P.s your dad is cool too. Keep up the Great work😁
Yes. I don’t think the video does it justice. Really feels different after being boxed in for months! And the light that comes in makes a huge difference.
Oh my. It's been over 2 and a half hears since you broke ground on this project and you're still on the exterior. You guys are really taking your time on this. You must have lives or something haha. I'm just fooling. This is an awesome project and I've been enjoying these videos. If it were me, I'd want this project to last as long as possible for the quality father/son time. Awesome job, guys!
Whenever we made a lot of sawdust we vacuumed it up instead of blowing it away. Then we would mix it with just a little bit of clean oil and when you throw it on the floor to sweep it picks up the dust and dirt that's on the floor. It works best on smooth concrete. I don't think I would use it on wood floors or any finished floors.
You're doing a great job. The Shed/House is looking amazing. Gotta love the QC. I'm sure they will take good care of you. Can't wait for the finished product, Its going to look great.
Probably should get all the labels off the windows as soon as you can. The longer they are on there, with the sun beating on them, the harder they'll be to get off.
I’ve worked at a window factory making Anderson and Simonton windows and those stickers are easy to peel off even after baking in the sun. The glue isn’t adhesive to glass, only other paper
You are doing so good. It is starting to look like the house you want. Love that you are learning new tools even at this stage. That router is gonna come in so handy when you get to doing finish work. Doing great guys. Can't wait to see future work
Did I hear the beginnings of an F bomb at 10:22 lol? Its okay. I always have those times during a remodeling project myself where colorful metaphors fill the air when something doesn’t go right. Anyway, those windows look awesome! Your cat is adorable and I’m so glad I got my shed fix before Christmas. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Sorry that I missed the live premiere. Not going to lie, when the title said about the window breaking I was thinking more along the lines of shattered glass. I was so close relieved to see it was just the mechanism. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. I hope the entire Cronise family has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
I'm enjoying watching your progress. But I i hope you used some kind of hearing protection while running that router. From nearly 50 years of using power tools, I now wish I'd used hearing protection more.
Merry Christmas an here's to a Happy holidays and happy new New year's ahead. It's coming along nicely. Can't wait to see more videos soon. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Keep making. God Bless.
Run the rest of the windows, out, and in, before looking for help from store, or manufacturer. Then, if they all break, or half, or whatever, you can address it all at the same time.
QC for Andersen is pretty bad, yeah. But at least the windows are simple enough to fix. We had similar QC issues with our house. A lot of trades are starting to use routers for things like this, too. We cut ours out with a sawzall, which was a mess trying to get straight. We also didn't silicone the windows. I'm sure that won't come back to bite us...
Merry Christmas Danner and Family! Starting to really come together. The lighting around the kitchen/dining area looks great. Andersen windows has a great warranty department and they will fix you up very fast. Good to see Sage on patrol keeping everything safe and on task!
I have the exact windows as you and I was told when cranking them open, that it’s best to not fully extend them open. It’s best to stop just a little before if that makes any sense.
The other day I was thinking to myself how it's been a while since Dinner, his dad, and of course, the star of the show, Sage, had put out a video so I was really happy to see this one posted today! The project is coming along fantastically! You guys are really doing an excellent job. And to Anderson Windows: What the hell? You're supposed to be one of, if not the top window manufacturers, and the crank broke the first time?
Yes. Had it not been cold, we would have probably done a liquid barrier on all the entire frame. It just wasn’t practical for us since we had to cut and install the same day. With that said the original, cheap windows were just stapled in place with some 1x4s over the top. None of them leaked. We now have overhangs and a porch on the front, so it’s probably going to be okay and the bottom is the only place the water can puddle.
@@susanfabian1521 oh! Not the windows, but around the house. No. It drains pretty well. It’s deceptive on video but there’s a lot of slope from front to rear on the shed. Just behind it the land drops down ~75 vertical feet. It’s a steep hill.
Yes. Hope they come through. We reached out before the install, but no real follow up. We still haven’t tested the others, but will after cold moves on…
Looking great! I kept singing in my head, "how much wood can a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?" And of course, the answer is Sage.
I hope you all have a Great Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Hey Fellers!!!
I sure do miss Y'all and playing music on the front porch!!!
We'll do it again!!!🎯🎸👍

Big change when you're standing inside!
Yes. I don’t think the video does it justice. Really feels different after being boxed in for months! And the light that comes in makes a huge difference.
The flush cut bit works well for that. Would have used a Trim Router for the window cutouts though. Much smaller router.

I like the black trim on the windows. Thanks for sharing
Yes. We think it’s going to look good with the natural color poplar board & batten siding!
Anderson Windows used to be top of the line---but that was 40+ years ago that I had any experience with them.
Thanks for sharing place looks great Merry Christmas

One more step in the right direction, y'all did good.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Windows are very nice!
Looks great guys!

Good point. I think they are stuck to the plastic film, not the glass, but wasn’t thinking about that when we looked.
I’ve worked at a window factory making Anderson and Simonton windows and those stickers are easy to peel off even after baking in the sun. The glue isn’t adhesive to glass, only other paper
Nice. It’s looking more like a tiny house.
Glad to see you Happy New Year.

We haven’t tried the rest. There was one that we opened before install and it was very smooth. Just couldn’t risk any others stuck open.

Should have cut window openings prior to wrapping
Couldn’t do that. It was months between the two. This worked easily though. The tyvek cut really clean with the router. Thanks!
Kind of a bummer that one window mechanism broke right away.
Is there a way you can lubricate it a little bit so they work easier ?
The window might get stuck like that if it's not installed square and plumb on the left and right sides.
Looks like the windows are a bit high? Are you able to se the field sitting?
Yes. The land rises a lot from the shed. We wanted wall space inside.
please get a cat cam
On this old house they put that black tape all around the window yet you only put it on the bottom.

@@MrZZeroG will you be making a drain around the house then?
@@susanfabian1521 I’m not sure I understand the question.
