    Hi Angela, fantastic video. Emergencies are things we don’t like to think about. However they are a fact of life. If we are prepared it can truly be the difference between life and death. Thank you for excellent suggestions. I look forward to hearing more! Blessings always.

    Best thing people can do is have a plan...get supplies, either be prepared to stay in or go somewhere else (have a plan with family/others). Most of all people will go crazy,best to not get involved with the masses. For those of you not knowing whats going on,start looking into w.e.f, stop watching mainstream news and watch other prepping uk channels. Good video,only just found you!

    Hi. I saw this government suggestion a few weeks ago , i always have a good pantry but there are a few that i feel we all should have in stock, like you have suggested, my son thinks i over react but the state of the world at the moment makes me think that anything can happen. Thank you for your video.

      Hello Anna, You're right the government did mention this a few weeks ago, and I've been deliberating as to whether to record this video for my audience. If I'm honest, I wasn't prepared back in 2020 (toilet rolls, fuel etc.) and that woke me up big time, and I am now prepared.
      Perhaps not like the hardcore USA preppers but I'd like to think my family and I would be ok for a couple of weeks i.e. no rush to hit the shops immediately in the event of an emergency.
      Thank you so much for watching and commenting, it really means a lot to me.

    Thank you Angela. Re pet care, and indeed family, I would suggest if you don't already, have things like: Arnica cream for bruises, colloidal silver as antiseptic. Propolis cream for healing and castor oil which is good for many things. Apple C.Vinegar again many uses. ( old remedies the best). All these ok for animals as well as people.
    9v batteries for smoke àlarms etc. look up two bucket water filter. 2 plastic bucjets, spiget and filter all fairly cheap.
    One point, I found evaporated milk did go off after a while. I thought canned goods lasted ages.
    I honestly think 2 weeks is not long enough( may several month who knows).
    Thanks again.

    • @WraparoundPlus
      @WraparoundPlus  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello Cynthia, you are on my wave length (old remedies are the best). I've been using caster oil for a few years now, together with 15% white iodine and apple cider vinegar.
      I hear you with regards to all your other points and I agree with you regarding having more than 2 weeks supply, provided you can afford to or have the storage capacity.
      Tbh, I didn't want to panic my audience, as I appreciate the majority of my audience are women over 60 years of age and my initial aim was to share the UK Government guidelines on this video and then go into a more detailed video next time, as I worry there are a lot of families out there whom are not aware of emergency preparedness.
      That said, I'm no professional prepper, I don't confess to be but, I have good intentions with these videos and just want the best for people and the more we talk about this sort of thing, personally I believe the better.
      Thank you so much for watching and commenting. All the best Angela ❤

    Whilst it's easier having cans with a ring pull on it, it does make the can weaker thus can shorten the life of the contents. Always rotate your canned food after checking for any signs of damage (dents, rust, leaking, bulging etc), health comes first 👍

    Thanks Angela good useful list. I've been a Prepper for years in France. In a mountain area we had lots of power cuts, sometimes for several days. The first thing I always do if the power goes out, is fill my bath with water. Then you will have water to use for household chores, and to flush the toilet with in case you rely on an electric pump.

    Where I live there are regular interruptions to the water supply, usually burst water mains. It seems like every week someone on Facebook is asking if anyone else has brown water. It amazes me that the majority of people still don't keep a few bottles of water in the house. Now we seem to be having random power cuts too. I think people can get scared of the whole emergency part of preparation but it's usually something mundane like the water or electricity going off. I am glad I don't live in an area that floods though, that must be devastating.

    • @WraparoundPlus
      @WraparoundPlus  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Hello Lou, I agree with you - I am so pleased I don't live in an area prone to flooding, as it must be devastating. We live around 15 miles in land and I feel that's a nice distance from the coastline (roughly takes us about 30 mins to drive to our nearest beach). I really did deliberate as to whether to record this video, but I do believe there are a lot of people who haven't given preparedness any forethought and as you say, without the scary element . As you quite rightly pointed out - it doesn't have to mean a national emergency, it could be a burst water main or random power cuts. Thank you so much for watching and commenting, it really does mean a lot to me. All the best Angela ❤

    I wouldn't tell your neighbours what you have in the way of supplies. I would look at a radio that is solar, windup and battery operated that can be used as a torch and charger. Dry shampoo is useful for hygiene. You will need a lot of water and ways to purify water if you run out. Check your insurance policy to see what your covered for. So many people got caught out where I live, thought their insurance covered flooding and it didn't. Always good to keep spare tin openers as well. An alternative method of cooking should be available too. Remember your pets need to be prepared for as well. In a power outage your going to lose access to mobile phones, Internet, portable handsets. So think about communication. Cash machine, petrol stations and supermarkets can shut down quickly. If you use candles you need a carbon monocide detector. There's a lot more to think about. Things can change overnight and services disappear within hours.

      I have been awake to most of the lunacy that's been bestowed upon us over the past four years, and I have been prepared for any future event for sometime (I wasn't prepared in 2020 toilet rolls/fuel etc.) but since watching a lot of different YT videos (not MSM) I'm now mentally prepared for any future eventuality that the powers that shouldn't be, wish to torment the ordinary man and woman with - and I thought I'd share that with my audience. I appreciate its not for everyone, but I feel better for sharing what I am doing at home, as I have a sneaky suspicion what with the early election, something is going to be set upon us, sooner rather than later. Water is a human right and there will be standpipes etc provided (unless a bomb goes up then I think all the bottled stuff in the world is not going to help for long) .. Canned bits and bobs stored and have put aside (very slowly) some prescription meds as our GP point blank refuses to give extra!! In a way we are going to create our own shortages if everyone stashes for months!! Good info though and I agree we take nothing for granted.

      Hello 👋That's a good point you made in saving milk bottles - do you save the plastic bottles? I've got a camping plastic water container (I'll show you it on my next related video) - I believe it holds 10L. Like you say there should be standpipes etc, but we need to think outside the box nowadays. Some preppers that I watch on YT have stated that if there was an emergency the government would instruct martial law and take away everyone's supplies (under the pretence of equality, rubbish). Anyway, thank you so much for watching and commenting, I really do appreciate it. All the best Angela

    • @jazzylyn5857
      @jazzylyn5857 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's not true. By buying a few extra cans/packets a week you will be saving any panic buying if things go mental, and you are not creating shortages by buying a little and often. Supermarkets factor this into their purchasing strategy.
      There is only 3 days worth of food in any supermarket, and 3 weeks worth in their warehouse. If something went bad, everyone would be panic buying and that 3 days would be gone in a day, the 3 weeks worth gone in a week, as rioting and looting would occur by those NOT prepared. If things were bad, would you actually want to be out in a supermarket trying to buy stuff when everyone else is out there trying to do the same, or would you prefer relaxing at home knowing you already have what you and your loved ones need. Remember only a few years back, people were literally knocking over grannies in order to grab toilet roll, and pinching it out of other people's trolleys. That was toilet roll. Imagine how bad it would be if it was food. It clearly doesn't take long for people to lose their minds. Losing it over toilet roll was pathetic. Why not just have a spare large pack under the bed, hey. Peace.

      Please don't use the plastic Milk containers as they will become porous after a few months and leak where they are stored, plus you can never get the fats out of them and that helps grow Bacteria. Better to use the 2 liter plastic pop bottles that usually have lemonade or cola in them as they are of a far better quality, but always remember to keep them in the dark and never place plastic bottles directly onto a Concrete floor so place them onto cardboard folded in two and they will be fine. I have an audience of over 60% women aged 60+ and I don't think their viewing choice is ordinarily 'prepper' videos, and therefore I wanted to open their minds to the prepper side of things, albeit gently to start off with...😄

      Please note, I was reading directly from the UK Government website! I will be doing another video with regards to what I would suggest everyone has within their emergency supplies. After 2020, I've always got plenty of toilet paper and I have numerous water butts dotted around my garden, together with numerous buckets collecting additional rainwater. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    I won’t be buying into this rubbish. Instead the Governments should be held to account as to what the hell they are doing.

      Hello Patricia, I completely agree all governments should be held accountable for what is going on - but equally I wouldn't be at all surprised if worldwide Governments (part of the WEF) will throw the ordinary man and woman into another 'plandemic' and I want to be a lot more prepared than I was the last time (2020). Thank you for watching and commenting. All the best Angela

      So who is going to do that when they are scared stiff and dare not leave their houses? It's a bit late for that by then so Surely it's better to be prepared and not have to go out and face whatever problem there is?
