Its always nerve-racking crossing into a new country thinking have I got all Nala's paperwork right or not but we got through okay and what an amazing camping spot we found for our first night in Croatia aswell 😻😻😻

We’re Dean & Nala, and we’ve been best friends since December 2018. I was actually cycling around the world when I heard Nala meowing out for me somewhere in the Bosnian mountains. With no intentions of keeping Nala, I knew i had to save the wee kitten and take her to the vet - but I was well aware of the fact that it might be a bit of a challenge considering I only had a bike. However, despite my concerns, Nala quickly climbed out of the front bag on the bike handle and straight onto my shoulder. Since then, we’ve been travelling the world together. So feel free to tag along if you’re interested in following our journey and adventures around the globe ❤️

I watched the latest Conjuring the other night. I love horror movies, but I wouldn't be caught dead watching one outside a church, in the pitch black, and especially not one that starts with an exorcism lol.
I know you must read it a million times Dean but thank you for showing us all part of the world we might never otherwise see. You cycle past desolate looking areas, strange landscapes and busy streets and you take us with you. Who needs a better tour guide than you and Nala!

I'm amazed how quickly I've become addicted to your videos. And it's endearing to see how you and Nala are close, and how well she's taken care of, how happy she is. You were so lucky to find each other! I really believe it makes the world a better place to know that I can see you treating people well, treating animals well and riding through life the way you do. I've lost my cat to cancer not 2 months ago and I'm still grieving horribly. He was with me for almost 14 years, found somewhere outside, just like Nala. It still hurts to see other cats (cos to see them makes me miss my cat even more), but somehow you and Nala are a wonderful exception. I hope you both stay safe on your journey. Honestly, it makes me very nervous when she is not with you while you are sleeping. If anyone wanted to steal your bike, while you are sleeping... they would be stealing her. 😭

I'd never thought of that. Yes, you're right they are now quite well known, but one hopes that good people outways in numbers the bad ones and protect these 2 from harm instead of doing the harm. However, it's still better to be aware and be cautious. Keep them in your daily prayers that God will keep them safe from harm. That is thoughtful and wise observation on your part, and I hope that Dean has read your comment and will take proper precaution as he is a very good dad to Nala.
Wow Dean, you're tough as nails. Trusting to sleep where anyone might come up on you! AND watching a scary movie before bed. I'm in your naive Scotland, on vacation (Inverness) and also watched the Conjuring shortly before Halloween, woke up in the middle of the night spooked.

It was a beautiful November day here too! Sunshine and not too much wind. Great camping spot.
I checked your route - I see you're very close to Serbia there as well.
That river you crossed on the ferry, becomes the border with Croatia and Serbia.
(don't forget, Serbians use Cryllic not Latin, even though the language is very similar).
We wait to see Nala arrive in more "first time" countries.
I think she'll be able to enter in the Guiness Book of Records for the most internationally travelled cat!

I just bought a purple cat backpack and i contacted an AirBnB host where i like to stay and she said next year i can bring Merri (my Norwegian Forest Cat) with me! He came with me in 2017. I'm looking forward to cat travel adventures for 3 months in 2022.

I love you & Nala & really enjoy watching the journey you're on. But at times I'm nervous for you two & I can't help but to totally worry about the both of you out there traveling & sleeping alone in strange places. The world is a beautiful & fascinating place but the people of the world aren't so much. I hope you have some sort of protective tools in your bag close at hand. Please be aware of your surroundings, don't trust everyone & stay protected. Be safe.
The biggest predators are human beings unhappily. Dean is a well seasoned traveller but we want him to be safe 🕊️🏕️🌄🐈💌
