I wonder of the people commenting here ever watched the original show with Julia Murney on the lead. Sutton is very talented but this role doesn't fit her at all. She doesn't have the voice for it, nor the physical appearance, and she's not sexy at all. Queenie is supposed to be a vaudeville singer. VAUDEVILLE, people. Have you ever watched pictures of Vaudeville stars? This is one of the reasons I hate most American musicals, because it's all marshmallows and pink elephants and realism is thrown out the window.

Kaylasa JaguarStar Agreed! Casting directors need to stop choosing by how famous they are and choose by talent and closeness to the characters. Sutton Foster really doesn't fit the character at all.

I didn't care for the choreography. Don't get me wrong it was great the dancers were great but this is one of those shows that you can venture away from ballet/jazz technique.
