The music and scene set the mood straight, I loved it and makes me wish I could go back to my dads hay day going to shows and road trips all over the place on bikes
That Knuck at 22:16 is Dick Allen's "Locomotion." I've always liked that bike. It's got one of Dick Allen's springers on it. That 15" US Racing (Cal) 12-spoke mag wheel was another great feature on that machine. Likewise for that South Bay sissy bar and the auxiliary gas tank mounted behind the sissy bar. That's a truly great throw-back machine. Memories man -- memories.
I was in Virgina City in June of 2021 middle of the week.. love the place I have a small place in Tahoe I visit twice a year and always make a trip down to Virgina City while I'm there..many very cool bikes are always about. Sad I missed this but I know better now I'll be there next year !
That looked like one hell of a good time! Thanks for covering it so well. Almost felt like I was there. Going to have to make that trip in the next year or two. Mr. Hawke, your knuckle is spectacular! peace Eric in Kissimmee Florida.
Is that first part head in a knucklehead frame with a knuckle springer on the front ? Doesn’t look like a panhead straight leg frame to me , looks like a knuckle…..
On the low end, how much does a guy have to spend to get one of these sweet old kicker choppers? Just picked up my first HD (2012 wide glide) but man these things are waaaaaay cooler. Probably way more expensive to?? I dont know
Shovel 8-10k, panhead 13-15k or more, knucklehead 25k or more and that’s buying parts, motor, frames and building them, buying them off some one that is already built it maybe even higher.
@@lowbrowcustoms thanks for that quick response Lowbrow......My name is Mitch im in Papillion Nebraska. Its been yrs since the cable tv shows and the bagger craze but ive always liked this style of bike or the ones kinds like Jesse James built. Anyway from here to you....thanks.
Its so funny to see a " Harley" with an SnS engine. So the conclusion is that they don't make a good engine but they make great accessories, T-shirts, etc. right?
Best coverage of the motorcycle shows. Can't wait to road trip to them in the coming years!
Thanks!
