Intel Groundbreaking Ceremony

On September 9, 2022, Intel held the official groundbreaking ceremony for its $20 billion investment in a new semiconductor manufacturing site to produce leading-edge chips. The event was the "culmination of collaboration" according to City of New Albany Mayor Sloan Spalding. Outstanding ! I'm so happy for the city, the region and the state. This mega-partnership with Intel is nothing short of breathtaking. Back in the summer of 1996 Tiger Woods famously said "Hello World" when he was first introduced to the media as a professional PGA Tour golfer. What an exciting moment in time that was for sports fans all around the world. Well, in the summer of 2022....the City of New Albany said "Hello World" to the global community where it will shine like a beacon. How exciting is THAT ?! Congratulations New Albany. What's next ?
