It's not just you.. in all their singles vocals are not loud enough
His cleans do need to be up like a smidge and lets be honest Chris has some of the best vocals in metal. Turn that shit up! Lol
I guess whoever mixed this album is gonna be hearing it from the band

Agree, the vocals in the chorus, but only in YOTM. In this song, at least for me sounds good, not too quiet.
Is not just you. The singing is very drowned out by the music in the chorous’s. my fav of the 3 is by far Habitual Decline because of the fact I can hear the chorous a lot better in it
Habitual Decline is my fav too. And who knows maybe they thought the cleans were to abrupt and some bands do that so it fit a better and it doesnt feel like youre listening to two different songs but his vocals mesh so well clean and screaming let them shine
Well i personnaly find that the singles are all 10/10 for now, even if i would have liked them to last a bit longer

Chris (the vocalist) said the singles are the safe songs on the album. Don't quote me, but I think he mentioned it on Twitter

I'd have to listen again with headphones to see about the mix but I agree this is definitely the best single. The chorus reminded me of Currents a little bit, especially their last album.
The problem with understanding words was a problem on album "The Hollow" by Memphis May Fire, even though it's an amazing album.
Interesting, I've never heard anyone complain about the mix on The Hollow. I always thought it was great, but that album is one of my favorites of all time so I'm probably a bit biased
@@Lowfe bro, I love this album, but english not my native language, and there were problems with understanding without lyrics. But for example, there was no problems with understanding words for me, with Architects, Polaris, LANDMVRKS, BFMV and etc.

Vocals should've been doubled and brought up in the mix for this chorus especially, I agree with you
I have to admit that out of all the metalcore reaction videos there are on youtube, i like yours by far the most. I just have the feeling that you are the most koherent and honest with your reaction. That includes sometimes a bad resume after a song, you dont like. Thats music and its totally normal, and i think you criticise in a very understandable and respectfull way.

Had the same problem with the chorus but the more you listen to these songs the more they start to stick out a little more

That breakdown was juicy as fuck. Not generic, and the double bass mix with it was sick as hell. Can’t wait for the album. Nothing of these three albums is generic, all unique in their own way. Vocals were fine to me in this one

Yep, I agree. The guitars were a bit too overpowering in the chorus. The melody for the vocals in the chorus is still epic tho!

I really love the new singles. Definitely better than the heavier tracks from the last album, but my main issue is that the choruses seem forced. Like they took a step back in that section. Not saying that Chris doesn't have good vocal ability either, but on the last 2 albums the choruses felt natural. Take Wither for example. A super heavy yet melodic song that no one seems to give them much credit for. In this song, and just like the other songs I really don't think they really need a chorus. LMTF needs to stop relying on the typical formula and just go full Knocked Loose mode. Idk, maybe that's just me though. The riffs are pretty killer though. Definitely a big step up on these songs. However, that breakdown definitely could've been longer once again.
