I've found you can combine percent based training with autoregulation is a great way to set up mental preparation for a workout but also allows for dynamic reaction to the lifting context.
Experts talking the talk, but you never see them actually training. Would it not be a all lot better to show people about how to train hard??? Deadlifts, squats bench and overhead press as well as barbell rows are amazing for the beginner. It makes you aware of everything from form to technique to build muscle. would love to see these guys giving it their all doing these lifts to show newbies how it's done. Only because imo it's reconstruction of body composition with practice you get better and bigger in a linear fashion unlike accessory movements. I don't see anyone else in my gym do compound lifts ever. These little isolation moves are meant to be complimentary not the focus of training.
Thank you for the feedback and for your input. To be fair, this is a podcast which of course is more catered to audio than it is to visuals. Also, it’s roughly an hour long which is a decent amount of time to cover some context, but to cover all things training related, we can talk context all day long. Personally speaking, I have a lot of videos here on TH-cam as well on IG over the past 12-13 years where I’ve done plenty of the basic compound movements under load. With that said, I’ve been doing compound exercises since 1986, so this is kinda talking to the choir. Compound movements yes are great at teaching the basic fundamentals of lifting that can certainly carry over to other exercises as well. However, sometimes they are not catered for some people depending on context, so there does need to be considerations. Isolation exercises imo have a lot of validity so I dont look at them as unimportant in a bodybuilder’s programming. I don’t recall us saying the isolation exercises are more important than compound exercises, we alluded that compound exercises are harder and should be performed basically with care.
One of the best things for my cardio sessions over the years is listening to 3-D to gain more knowledge 😊
glad and honored to hear it 🤝🙏

LOL I have seen tons of training videos from the 3DMJ coaches over many years. If you’re new to the channel I’d take a peek through their catalogue.
