Gaara would not beat pain, the rinnegan can absorb all attacks that don't have sage power in it, which is why naruto needed the rasenshuriken.
The jiraiya argument is complicated because jiraiya was said to be around the same level as orochimaru but orochimaru got destroyed by itachi, and I'm sure would get destroyed by pain too, but itachi said jiraiya could beat him
Gumbino you also have to remember itachi was sick so maybe that's what he meant when he said jiraiya could beat him
Orochimaru only had one full on real match and the 3rd had to kill himself in order to stop him. Jiraiya's fight with Pain was a miss-match cuz he didn't know Pain's secret (found out near the end) so i'm pretty sure if they fought again he'll win.
Gumbino itatchi said that so he didn't have to fight an ally. I'm sorry but jiraiya would stand no chance against itachi and kisame. Especially not in base. Cause if they fought foreal they wouldn't let him gather sage energy he also wouldn't even have ma and pa to help control it

At that point it’s a battle of who has a better offense in which case it depends on which version of Gaara you are talking about. Gold Sand Gaara could probably hang with him. John Smith itachis biggest arsenal are his genjutsu, which doesn't affect jiraiya in sage mode, jiraiya can also shield himself from itachi's amateratsu with his hair, the biggest threat to jiraiya would be itachis susanoo, but itachi can summon gamabunta to help deal with that, in all honesty, I don't know who would win but there's no indication to itachi winning in the show, but there is an indication of jiraiya winning, even if itachi didn't mean it, that's the only thing we have

No matter how big MHA gets it will never be the next Naruto. Neither will Boruto.
Naruto is one of three anime that carried such a phenomenon behind them that they dominated the anime scene for all of the 00’s, The Big Three.
There will never be another big three due to anime being more equal these days, for example even One Piece is not as all-dominating as it used to be and when it ends that will be the end for the foreseeable future for anything close to the big three.

I see your points but understanding that the show's practically just started in comparison to Naruto, it can become one of the big three. it has more potential than naruto's first 40 episodes and the pacing is better than dbz's and one piece's. there's also the fact in which mha is so mainstream now that it barely opens up any chances for other background animes. shit, it made black clover look bad(it didn't really need to anyways, it made it look worse). character development is good, powers are (for the most part) unique and good, and the fact that the anime is following the manga so far, the following arcs will be fire. I see it has the potential to be one of the big three, hopefully it doesn't fuck up down the road.

Caleb was strong to his opinion RDC points were very strong, John moments of delusion, Aff editors notes, and what tops it all off you had the background music that make sure there isn't a dull moment. Oh and audio was great can hear everybody, and music wasn't overpowering anybody else's vocals
